Netflix’s new Israeli-American action thriller series Hit & Run features a talented cast, and here are the actors playing the colorful characters. Hit & Run’s first season was released on Netflix on August 6th and has received generally positive reactions, with a Rotten Tomatoes audience score of 90%. The season was directed by Mike Barker, Neasa Hardiman, and Rotem Shamir, and its writers include Nicole Yorkin and Lior Raz.
Hit & Run follows a Tel Aviv tour guide named Segev Azulai, whose beloved wife Danielle is killed in a tragic and mysterious hit and run. Segev follows her killers to New York City and teams up with his ex-girlfriend, Naomi Hicks, to investigate Danielle’s death. The protagonist’s avenging skills and military background have led him to be compared to Liam Neeson in the Taken franchise. Segev must untangle a web of conspiracies and well-kept secrets surrounding the woman he married.

Lior Raz stars in Hit & Run as grieving husband Segev Azulai and is also a writer and executive producer on the show. Raz is best known for his role in the Israeli television series Fauda, an action drama about the Israel-Palestine conflict, which he created alongside journalist Avi Issacharoff. Fauda received the 2015 Israeli Television Academy awards for Best Drama Series and Best Script in a Drama Series, while Raz was awarded Best Actor in a Drama Series. His other acting credits include the 2018 Nazi movie Operation Finale, and 2019’s Mary Magdalene with Rooney Mara and Joaquin Phoenix.
Naomi Hicks, an investigative journalist and former love interest of Segev, is played by American actress Sanaa Lathan. Lathan, whose on-screen career began in the mid-1990s, is known for being the voice of Donna Tubbs in Family Guy spinoff The Cleveland Show, as well as subsequent appearances on the original cartoon. Lathan’s filmography includes roles in the 1999 romantic comedy The Best Man and its 2013 sequel, Best Man Holiday, as well as the 2004 science fiction thriller Alien Vs. Predator. Her performance in the 2015 thriller The Perfect Guy earned Lathan the All Def Movie Award for Best Actress, and she has won 10 other awards throughout her career. Lathan also appeared in the 2011 thriller Contagion, a hot topic during the coronavirus outbreak.
Moran Rosenblatt as Tali Shapira: Moran Rosenblatt plays Tali, Segev’s detective cousin who helps him unravel the crime. Rosenblatt appeared on Fauda alongside Raz and starred in the 2020 romantic comedy film Kiss Me Before It Blows Up.
Kaelen Ohm as Danielle Wexler: Actress, director, and cinematographer Kaelen Ohm plays Segev’s deceased wife, Danielle. Her other acting credits include the 2021 horror film Queen of Spades, as well as numerous short film and television appearances.
Gal Toren as Ron Harel: Ron, a former member of the Israeli Special Forces to whom Segev comes for help, is played by Gal Toren of TV series Losing Alice and Sirens.

His most prominent role was in TV shows Scandal, Hell on Wheels and Black Lightning, along with playing Grandpa Quill in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies and Richard Webb in Jason Bourne.
