The Big Bang Theory: Raj's Slow Transformation In Pictures

The Big Bang Theory: Raj's Slow Transformation In Pictures

Rajesh Koothrappali had one of the most transformative character arcs in The Big Bang Theory. A once shy and nervous man who couldn't talk to women, Raj grew both professionally and personally. While Howard took advantage of Raj's kindness from time to time, he really grew to stand on his own two feet by the end of the series.

The sitcom showcased all of the main characters' romantic lives, but Raj's romances were the star of his storylines. All he wanted to be was a husband and later, a father, but he couldn't find the right match. All the while, he focused on his friendships and job as an astrophysicist at Caltech. Along the way, Raj grew into a more mature and authentic version of himself by season 12.

12 Season 1: His Way Around His Selective Mutism

Season 1 was the only time viewers saw Raj sporting a hat. After this, he stuck to straightening his hair and keeping his style the same.

When Raj, Howard, Sheldon, and Leonard met Penny, Raj was as blown away by Penny's beauty, as were the rest of the guys. Unlike his friends, however, Raj had a secret: he had selective mutism where he wasn't able to speak to Penny (or girls in general). In the middle of the season, Raj found out he could speak to women, as long as he had a few sips of alcohol to make himself comfortable.

11 Season 2: Howard's Go-To Wingman

In season 2's "The Griffin Equivalency," Raj's career was on a high when he was selected as one of "30 Visionaries Under 30 Years Old to Watch" by People Magazine.

His personal life, on the other hand, was suspect while looking for women in his spare time with Howard. It became even clearer in season 2 that Raj and Howard were each other's go-to for all things fun, work, and relationships.

10 Season 3: Raj Becomes Closer To Sheldon

In season 3's "The Pirate Solution," Raj is terrified when his work visa is about to expire and he could face deportation. Raj loved his life in America with his friends and didn't want to go back to India quite yet. Luckily for him, Sheldon came to the rescue and hired him.

Working next to Sheldon made Howard busier but made Sheldon appreciate him more after he felt left out by Howard's constant need to chase women. The two made up, of course, and by the season finale, Raj and Howard found the perfect match for Sheldon, a scientist named Amy Farrah Fowler.

9 Season 4: Lonely & Desperate

In season 4, Raj becomes lonely and jealous when Howard begins dating Bernadette. Not only did Raj miss spending time with Howard, but he also was secretly crushing on Bernadette. To make matters harder for Raj, Leonard began dating Raj's sister, Priya.

RELATED: 10 Unpopular Opinions About Bernadette On The Big Bang Theory (According To Reddit)

Raj felt excluded. By the end of the season, Sheldon encouraged Raj to try medication to help with his social anxiety, and while it didn't go as smoothly as Raj would have liked, he did end up spending the night with Penny, which caused some major drama in the friend group.

8 Season 5: Guys Nights Were A Thing In The Past

At the start of the season, Raj is still in an uncomfortable situation with the group after spending the night with Penny. But they were able to move past it when Penny set Raj up with a friend of hers, Emily.

The relationship didn't last long, but Raj threw his entire being into it while it lasted. He later focused on his friendships but alas, he felt alone. In "The Weekend Vortex," Raj made the group realize that they never have guys' nights anymore because everyone has girlfriends. His rant made them realize how much has changed among the group.

7 Season 6: Raj Falls For Lucy And Gains Man's Best Friend

In season 6, Raj began spending more time with Stuart after Howard married Bernadette and went to space. It was because of a joined Valentine's Day party at the comic book store that he met Lucy.

The two began dating in season 6 but the two fell apart when Raj was too pushy. To make up for his heartbreak, Howard and Bernadette gifted Raj a dog named Cinnamon.

6 Season 7: The Raj & Emily Era Begins

Raj focuses on his friendships and getting back on his own two feet after breaking up with Lucy. He and Stuart attempt to start fresh by joining a dating app, but realized it was a bad idea when women looked at their profiles but weren't interested.

Raj eventually finds another woman named Emily Sweeney, who rejected him at first but later found him charming. The two had a subtle but sweetly memorable first date because of how honest he was with Emily. Season 7 was the start of something new for Raj.

5 Season 8: His Parents' Divorce Affected Him More Than He Realized

At the start of the season, Raj introduces everyone to Emily but she doesn't get along with Penny, Amy, and Bernadette right away. Considering they had such a tight-knit group, this was strike one. By the end of the season, Raj began to wonder if he and Emily were compatible at all because she had darker interests than him.

Outside of his relationship, Raj's bond with his parents becomes tainted when he finds out they're getting a divorce. He turns to religion for clarity and later surrounds himself in work when he begins working on a project for NASA in "The Communication Deterioration."

4 Season 9: The End Of Emily And The Start Of Becoming An Uncle

In "The Sales Call Sublimation," viewers got to see Raj at work when Sheldon joined him in the astronomy lab. The two discovered an asteroid and had the honor of naming it. But his work is overshadowed when a woman named Claire enters his life.

After meeting Claire, Raj realized that he wasn't as in love with Emily as he thought he was. He broke up with her and tried starting something with Claire. When that didn't go the way he was hoping, he threw himself into Bernadette and Howard's pregnancy and prepped himself to become an uncle.

3 Season 10: Raj Focuses On Himself And Becomes Independent

With Bernadette gearing up for her first baby, Raj was a big part of her preparation. He helped her and Howard with the nursery, breathing techniques, and did things around the house. Now that he was single, he put all his effort into helping his friends and bettering himself. In "The Emotion Detection Automation," Raj brought his four exes together so that he could get to the bottom of why he was a bad/good boyfriend. The meeting was a revelation for Raj, who decided to start fresh.

After years of living off his parents' allowance, Raj became financially independent from them and moved in with his friends until he could get back on his feet.

2 Season 11: Raj Focuses On His Career And Takes A Step Back From Howard

Raj helps out the Wolowitz family yet again in season 11 when they found out they were pregnant with their second baby. In the meantime, he interviews for a job at the planetarium and is disappointed when he blows it. His dad claimed it was because of his lack of confidence, and this was largely because of Howard.

Raj agreed that Howard had villainous tendencies and began to work on his belief in himself and took a step back from his friendship with Howard. From doing that, he excelled both at Caltech and at the planetarium.

1 Season 12

Season 12 Raj is vastly different from season 1 Raj, He transformed into a butterfly over those 12 years and was better for it. He learned about relationships, become financially independent from his dad, and worked on himself to find out what he really wanted in life.

After spending season 11 focusing on himself, he spent season 12 trying to make a marriage with Anu work. But towards the end of the season, he realized Anu wasn't the one for him and he wasn't willing to put his heart on the line. Although he was the only one without a partner, in the end, he was arguably the most secure in himself.

Why Amazon Acquired Wickr & What The Purchase Means For Users

Why Amazon Acquired Wickr & What The Purchase Means For Users

Amazon's cloud computing division AWS (Amazon Web Services) has acquired encrypted messaging platform Wickr for an undisclosed sum. Wickr caters to regular users and small businesses with a free 'Basic' plan that offers voice and video calling, secure screen sharing, and protected data retention for a month among a few other benefits. The paid tiers targeted the enterprise sector throw in some extra benefits, such as unlimited storage, no cap on the number of users, priority access to support channel, and pre-configured security groups — all of which sound like traits that a company worried about the safety of its communication channels would happily invest in.

As for its standard set of messaging capabilities, Wickr allows encrypted direct messages as well as group chats, voice and video calling, multimedia file sharing, and file shredding. Claiming to be the only collaboration platform that adheres to all of the security guidelines put in place by the National Security Agency (NSA), Wickr also offers perks including full end-to-end encryption, centralized message archiving, secure server deletion, and a zero-trust platform design. As for Amazon, it has harbored ambitions of entering the communications service domain for a while now. The company was even rumored to be working on a full-fledged messaging platform called Anytime back in 2017 with a premise similar to that of WhatsApp. As Anytime faded into obscurity, a fresh opportunity appears to have finally arrived.

Related: Why Amazon No Longer Lists RAVPower, Vava & TaoTronics Products

One of the first secure messaging platforms of its kind, Wickr, will now operate as an AWS service. On the surface, Amazon's AWS division appears to have gained an opportunity to expand its portfolio and cater to the domain of secure enterprise communication services. Another benefit of acquiring Wickr is the clientele it brings to the table. Wickr is not only used by journalists and folks wary about their privacy, but it is also employed by government agencies, such as the Department of Defense and a host of political associations as well. Not too mention, it also fills a sizeable void in Amazon's product portfolio.

While Amazon stands to benefit handsomely from its latest acquisition, not much is expected to change for users. Stephen Schmidt, VP and Chief Information Security Officer for AWS, noted that existing Wickr customers will be able to continue using the platform without worrying about any imminent change in terms of usage or the platform design. However, a few changes might be implemented down the road. For example, once Twitch Prime became Prime Gaming after Amazon acquired the streaming platform, Prime integration was added to the mix. Similarly, AWS customers will now be able to use Wickr's communication service with immediate effect. It remains to be seen whether Amazon will invest in a bigger Wickr marketing push as a secure communication platform and position it as an in-house rival to the likes of Telegram and Signal, but it is possible.

Interestingly, Business Insider reports that Amazon considered buying Signal before purchasing Wickr. However, it appears that while a huge user base made Signal an appealing prospect, Wickr came with a wider enterprise appeal as well. Either way, and now that a choice has been made, it will be interesting to see how Wickr evolves over time and whether it helps Amazon gain a foothold in the consumer and enterprise communication messaging markets, simultaneously.

Sex Education: Why Everyone's Wearing Grey Suits In Season 3

Sex Education: Why Everyone's Wearing Grey Suits In Season 3

Sex Education season 3 introduces a new dress code at Moordale High, so what's the significance of the grey suits? The Netflix show about British students will officially return in September 2021, and several first-look images reveal that students are no longer allowed to dress casually. Sex Education's aesthetic change can be attributed to Moordale High's new headmaster, Hope Haddon, along with the series' attempt to have a stronger identity.

When Sex Education first premiered in January 2019, many Netflix streamers noticed the American influence on the UK-based storyline. The students dress in the style of '80s characters from John Hughes movies, which at once makes the Netflix show distinct but not quite authentic, at least when considering the formal uniforms for UK secondary schools. In addition, Sex Education mostly takes place at Moordale High and surrounding homes, rather than showing the characters at familiar UK locations.

Related: Wait, Where Is Sex Education Supposed To Be Set?

In the time-jumping Sex Education season 3, Moordale High's grey suit dress code aligns with the arrival of the new headmaster, Hope (Jemima Kirke). She replaces Michael Groff (Alistair Petrie), who is forced into a leave of absence after a public meltdown in the Sex Education season 2 finale. Hope will reportedly "return Moordale to a pillar of excellence," which is what her predecessor failed to do upon chastising Dr. Jean Milburn (Gillian Anderson) for providing advice to students about their sexual behavior. Based on first-look images for Sex Education season 3, Hope implements a new grey-maroon dress code in order to honor the school's tradition of excellence, and perhaps to establish her authority at Moordale High.

Moordale High's new dress code could also reflect a revised series identity as a UK production. Since retro '80s aesthetics remain prominent in pop culture, Sex Education creator Laurie Nunn may want to instill a more contemporary feel, and thus make the series more accessible and relatable. The new headmaster arguably strips the students of their identity by making them wear a uniform, but this narrative tweak could allow for strong character development if the various students no longer feel like traditional archetypes (Virgin, Bad Boy, Bad Girl, etc.). By instilling a new dress code, Sex Education will highlight the teenagers' personalities, much like the Las Encinas students in Netflix's Elite.

Lastly, Sex Education's new dress code will strengthen the character arc for Hope. A first-look image implies that not only is she a stern character, but that the students aren't thrilled about wearing formal clothing at school (just like audiences weren't thrilled with the Sex Education season 2 ending). Even so, Hope's vibrant orange jacket suggests that she has a colorful personality; a concept that has been confirmed by Kirke on social media. According to a June 2021 statement by the actress (via Instagram), her Sex Education season 3 character will be more like Emma Mackey's Maeve Wiley than the headmaster predecessor, Mr. Groff: "For those saying she’s got a stick up her ass, lemme tell you, Hope Haddon used to be QUITE the wild child back in her day."

Doubling Down with the Derricos: Karen's Best Style Moments

Doubling Down with the Derricos: Karen's Best Style Moments

Karen Derrico stars on Doubling Down with the Derricos and she's known for her inspiring, warmhearted parenting, as well as her stylish wardrobe. Fans of the show are impressed by just how great this mother of fourteen looks. With her busy schedule, viewers expect to see her in sloppy sweats, but she shows off her elevated fashion game regularly, on the show, and on her Instagram grid. Beautiful Karen flaunts a fit figure and finds time for a little hair and makeup magic, too. While many of her outfits balance style with practicality, she'll occasionally wear something bold that is all about showing her fashion savvy and confidence to the world.

Karen and Deon were heartbroken when Karen had a miscarriage in June of 2020. Karen, 41, and Deon, 50, got through the sad experience by focusing on their "blessings," according to People. This wasn't the first time that the family was touched by loss. Carter, the triplet brother of Diez and Dior, tragically died hours after he was born. While the family has had some extremely hard knocks, Karen and her husband know how to get the most out of each day. They are experts at finding the silver lining. Karen and Deon move forward in life, no matter what life throws at them, and Karen manages to look great while juggling it all.

Karen posted this fun promo shot to her @karenederrico Instagram on May 29 of this year. She dazzled in a cute blue ruffled dress that showed off very toned legs. Deon was also styling in his multicolored plaid shirt, which he paired with dark rinse denim. Pisces Karen and Virgo Deon are opposite Sun signs who are a perfect astrological match. While Karen occasionally complains about communication issues with Deon, they were definitely in tune when this photo was snapped. They work through their marriage problems and share countless joyful moments. In the picture, Karen looks fabulous with an angled bob and a subtle red lip. The couple seemed to be dancing when the pic was taken, and we expect nothing less from the Derricos.

Karen may need to toil from dawn to dusk and beyond to meet the needs of her very large family, but she still finds time to enjoy a little downtime in the makeup chair. In the photo shown above, she praises her makeup artist Pamela House by saying that Pamela always makes her "feel pretty." Decked out in a denim jacket with a pink-and-white tank top and an artsy silver pendant, Karen does look amazing. Pamela applied gold shimmer eyeshadow that accented Karen's lovely dark eyes and added a soft, pinky-brown lip gloss with just a touch of metallic gleam. The overall look is glam casual. It's polished but so wearable.

This look was for a fun night out and Karen really rocks it. Her Instagram followers couldn't get over how young and glamorous she looked in shimmering silver sequins. When Karen pulls out all of the stops, she goes high glam with incredible results. The sparkly dress really ups her style game, and her hair and makeup are beyond flawless.

Karen tries different looks for different effects. Sure, she's got so much to do, but she does set aside a little time for self-care and it shows. Busy moms relate to her, even if they can barely imagine taking care of so many children. Karen, who has been worried about Diez's head shape lately, is a fashion inspiration who also inspires due to her love of motherhood. The Doubling Down with the Derricos star is stylish, beautiful, and always there for her family.

iPads With Larger Screens Coming? How Large Is Too Large?

iPads With Larger Screens Coming? How Large Is Too Large?

The 12.9-inch iPad Pro might not be the largest tablet that Apple offers soon, as the company is reportedly exploring even larger variants that could hit store shelves in two years from now. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro first made its debut back in 2015, topping the 12-inch MacBook and packing a screen slightly smaller screen than the MacBook Air. The latest-gen iPad Pro is already treading in the screen size territory of Apple’s latest-and-greatest laptops, which makes the latest speculation all the more interesting.

Apple is already rumored to make some major changes to the iPad line within the next couple of years. The arrival of a mini-LED display and a desktop-class M1 chip inside the 2021 iPad Pro set the ball rolling. Next in line is expected to be the upcoming iPad Mini refresh, with leaked renders pointing to an iPad Air-like design update later this year. Next year, the company is rumored to arm some of its iPad models with an OLED panel, further boosting their appeal to creative professionals, complete with an aesthetic makeover in tow.

Related: Why Apple Could Be Banned From Preloading Apps On iPhones & iPads

Apple’s design and engineering team is now pondering the idea of a larger iPad, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. However, the product is not expected to make its debut until 2023 at the earliest. More importantly, the project is still in the conceptualization phase, which means there is always a chance that it might be axed. At this point, one can only speculate what the screen diagonal of an even larger iPad will be. Apple might either go with the familiar 13.3-inch form factor of the M1 MacBook Air and its Pro sibling. Or, Apple could go all-in on the ‘creativity powerhouse’ appeal by arming it with a 14 or 15-inch panel, making it an ideal solution for folks invested in the graphic design side of things. At this point, chances of the latter happening are more likely, unless Apple decides to sunset the 12.9-inch form factor.

If the rumor turns out to be true, the lines between the MacBook and iPad family will get even more blurred than they already are. Apple has already started arming the iPad Pro with the same M1 silicon as the MacBook, ensuring both machines are at an almost equal footing when it comes to raw firepower. In addition, the shared architecture also means that iPad apps can now run natively on the MacBook. With the new Magic series accessories essentially turning the iPad into an Apple-branded Surface, it is becoming increasingly difficult to separate the MacBook from the iPad family, based solely on what each class of product can accomplish.

At this point in time, the only key differentiating factor between the two machines is the operating system. iPadOS is still locked to the App Store ecosystem, while the Mac follows the same approach as its Windows counterparts. Apple might actually pitch its upcoming jumbo-sized iPad as a MacBook alternative that offers almost the same amount of power, but remains locked to the Apple software ecosystem, helping to limit the impact of malware. Apple itself has admitted that the level of malware in Mac ecosystem is unacceptable, which further necessitates the need of a product with roughly the same amount of firepower, but without any of the increased malware concerns.

The M1-powered iPad Pro has proved itself more than capable of handling even demanding tasks such as video editing and graphics design with ease. Plus, its form factor — paired with a stylus  — further add to its versatility as a reliable computing machine. While the debate as to whether an iPad can really replace a computer will continue, the company will likely draw a line and keep certain traits exclusive to its tablet in a bid to ensure the iPad doesn’t cannibalize Mac sales, such as a touch-sensitive panel and stylus support. In the meantime, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro continues to serve as the perfect companion computing machine for Apple's 13-inch MacBook Air and Pro models.

Far Cry 6 Is Being Developed By 10 Ubisoft Studios Around the World

Far Cry 6 Is Being Developed By 10 Ubisoft Studios Around the World

The audio director of Far Cry 6, Eduardo Vaisman, recently announced that 10 Ubisoft studios, not just Ubisoft Toronto, were working together to bring Far Cry 6 to players. Since the announcement of the game in July 2020, Ubisoft Toronto has been the go-to name on the project. The more recently released trailers have given fans an inside glimpse of the gameplay, characters and companions, like a rooster, in the game. Ubisoft currently has a lot of projects in motion, and having the studios working together to ensure the best product is delivered makes sense.

From its announcement, Far Cry 6 had fans of the series, as well as fans of Giancarlo Esposito, excited. This first-person shooter is set in the fictional Caribbean island of Yara. Dani Rojas, the player-controlled character, is fighting as a guerilla warrior to stop the ruthless "El Presidente," the island dictator. The gameplay is similar to that of previous games in that players will use crafting to create vehicles and guns. Ubisoft Toronto was also a studio developer on other well-known games such as For Honor, Watch Dogs 2, Far Cry 5 and Assassin's Creed Unity.

Related: Far Cry 6 Has A Subtle Willis Huntley Easter Egg

Because Far Cry is a big-budget and beloved fan series, it is not unexpected that there would be more than one studio involved in development. This was confirmed by Eduardo Vaisman on Twitter (via Gaming Bolt). The other Ubisoft Studios involved with development include Ubisoft Montréal, Ubisoft Kyiv, Ubisoft Berlin, Ubisoft Shanghai, Ubisoft Philippines, Ubisoft Bucharest, Ubisoft Pune, Ubisoft Odesa, Ubisoft Winnipeg, Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Québec. Some of the studios are lesser-known, such as Ubisoft Odessa, Ubisoft Berlin and Ubisoft Pune, while others have been instrumental in creating fan-favorite games and series. One or more of the planned DLC for Far Cry 6 could come out of one of these smaller studios.

This is not the first time that Ubisoft has collaborated with studios across the world for developing a game. Ubisoft Montréal announced on Twitter that there were 14 co-developing studios on Assassin's Creed Valhalla. So, although Ubisoft Montréal was the lead for the most recent Assassin's Creed game, there were a lot more studios involved in the project. A lot of the listed studios from Ubisoft Toronto have a history of collaborating with other studios within Ubisoft to develop a game or its DLC. The work that these developers do together is so thorough and detailed that they can contribute to the restoration/rebuilding of real-world locations.

The fact that 10 studios are working on Far Cry 6 shows two important aspects of Ubisoft's current work ethic. The first is that Ubisoft has a commitment to polishing this title. By having 1o studios work on one game, the workload can be spread out. The second aspect is that global studio involvement will likely mean the inclusion of global perspectives. Through these studios working together, the collaboration will naturally occur and global perspectives will inherently be considered. This doesn't ensure a perfect game, but it might give gamers hope that Ubisoft is trying to get the game done right. Only time will tell if this expanded influence will contribute to an improved game, but hopefully Far Cry 6 will deliver an experience that's worth playing and maybe even free of the crunch that has plagued video games for so long.

How Overwatch 2 On Switch Will Be Different Than Other Versions

How Overwatch 2 On Switch Will Be Different Than Other Versions

Blizzard is still hard at work on Overwatch 2, the quasi-sequel to the incredibly popular competitive arena shooter. The anticipated new chapter of Overwatch is envisioned more as a continuation than a true sequel, with most of the first game's content transitioning over to Overwatch 2Overwatch is currently playable on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and - most recently - the Nintendo Switch. The upgrades coming to Overwatch 2 have many concerned that the relatively weak hardware of the Switch might cause it to greatly underperform.

Among changes to Overwatch's PvP formula, Overwatch 2 will have more complex features like a dynamic weather system, a number of visual upgrades, and extensive PvE cooperative modes. This has Switch players concerned because of the system's reputation for getting compromised ports. The visually disappointing release of Apex Legends is a recent example of how multiplayer games might have to make concessions in order to run on Nintendo's portable console.

Related: Apex Legends Switch Review: More Mirage Than Legend

When Blizzard developers recently participated in a Reddit AMA on the Overwatch subreddit, one user (aptly monikered Overwatch2Fan) asked about the compromises the developers are having to make when designing the Switch version of Overwatch 2. With Overwatch 2's release date being pushed past 2021, it's understandable that Switch fans would be concerned, since the industry is slowly moving toward primarily supporting the next generation, i.e. the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The answer to Overwatch2Fan's question came from Overwatch 2 technical director John Lafleur, who admitted that developing for the "Switch is a little more challenging than some, and [Blizzard will] have to make some compromises there." Because of the advancing hardware, and the enhancements that allows for in Overwatch 2, Blizzard will be "making sure all of the gameplay-related features get in first," before padding the game with visual enhancements. Lafleur also notes that, although nothing is finalized just yet, this may mean "some of the higher end visual enhancements might not be visible."

While this answer isn't unexpected, it might be at least reassuring to Switch players who fear for the state of Overwatch 2 on that platform. Another answer in the AMA does, however, bring some more promising news: Blizzard is attempting to launch Overwatch 2 on all platforms at the same time, meaning Switch players will hopefully be able to get in on the action at launch. With unending rumors of a Switch Pro constantly surfacing, it's also possible that the concerns about Overwatch 2's Switch version will eventually be assuaged, at least for early adopters of the potential Nintendo console - but whether it truly exists remains to be seen.

When Sony's Next PlayStation Showcase Is | Screen Rant

When Sony's Next PlayStation Showcase Is | Screen Rant

E3 2021 has come and gone, with Sony choosing to skip the major event once again. This has been the trend for Sony in recent years, opting to bypass E3 in favor of creating their own showcase that solely focuses on news for PlayStation consoles and games. While Sony has not made any announcements concerning the newest PlayStation Showcase, a recent rumor hints at a new State of Play coming soon for gamers to get excited about.

Sony has been using the PlayStation Showcase format since 2019, with each State of Play highlighting updates for the biggest upcoming PlayStation titles. Previous State of Play events revealed the release date for The Last of Us Part 2, as well as releasing new gameplay for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Ghost of Tsushima. The most recent State of Play took place at the end of May, with a segment fully dedicated to brand new gameplay for Horizon Forbidden West.

Related: Every New Major Game Reveal At E3 2021

It is important to note that Sony has not revealed any official date for the upcoming State of Play as of yet, so the rumors that have been circulating online concerning any potential event are not incredibly reliable. Sony could have a completely different date in mind for the State of Play, or a large-scale event might not be in the works at all. However, with Sony's absence from E3 and limited involvement in Summer Game Fest, it stands to reason that there may be something in the works.

The latest rumors surrounding an upcoming PlayStation Showcase predicts a presentation date of Thursday, July 8th. These rumors stem from notable Reddit leaker QuimStix, who commented that one of his sources revealed the plans for a July 8th event. QuimStix urged readers to "take this with a grain of salt," but claimed that his source was reliable after they were previously proven right about other rumored leaks.

The July date makes sense, as Sony typically presents a State of Play showcase during the summer months. Taking things one step further is the prediction of a Thursday presentation, which is the standard day of the week that Sony usually holds their presentations. State of Play events also tend to occur every couple of months, and with the last event being in May, a July presentation date fulfills this trend.

However, it remains to be seen whether Sony will confirm this specific date as the official State of Play date or wait for sometime later in the year. Whenever the showcase does take place, players can most likely expect updates on upcoming titles for PS5 and PS4, like the recently delayed God of War Ragnarok and the Death Stranding: Director's Cut that was announced at Summer Game Fest. Sony might even have new games to announce, but PlayStation fans will have wait until the State of Play event (hopefully) happens in the coming weeks.

RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 6 Episode 2 Recap: Rise of Ra'Jah O'Hara

Two episodes of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 6 were dropped at the same time this week, and the second episode is one of the best in recent memory. The first episode saw Serena ChaCha going home, which was a shock to no one. Overall, the major surprise thus far is how great this season has been. It did not seem like a cast with only three competitors who made it to the finals on their season (Ginger Minj, Eureka O’Hara, and A’Keria Davenport) would be good. However, these queens have proven in these first two episodes that they are hungry for the crown.

Last year, All Stars 5 suffered from having many queens that literally eliminated themselves. Alas, All Stars 6 is full of girls with something to prove. And they sure do prove it in this episode that had 36 looks on the runway. Historically, the ball is one of the best challenges on Drag Race. It is always fun watching the girls construct their own costumes. (Paramount) PLUS anything can happen. Some girls can sew but prove that they don’t have the fashion eye, and some girls who cannot sew are able to hot glue things together.

Related: RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 6 Episode One Recap: Yara Sofia Slays

This year’s theme for the All Stars 6 ball is the "blue ball." The queens have to construct an outfit out of unconventional materials. Ginger Minj’s design is underwhelming, as sewing is not what she is known for. Hopefully, she will slay the Snatch Game and we will see the competitive edge that we have come to love about her. Eureka O’Hara’s look is very cute and well put together. It looks like the top half of an outfit that is missing a pair of pants, but she made it that day and the fit is stunning. Kylie Sonique Love is the queen to watch this season. It is thrilling to see a queen who did not have the best track record on her season slay it on All Stars. All three of her looks are so cool and so stylized. She wore the trans flag colors in a Christina Aguilera’s Dirty era nod in her second look, and it’s spectacular.

A’keria Davenport’s runway narration is such an underrated gem on this show. She is very funny and her looks seemed strong, but the judges were not impressed. As a result, A'Keria lands in the bottom three. Scarlet Envy is wearing an absolutely stunning gown. It is shocking that she constructed it herself. It looks better than most of the looks that the dolls brought from designers. Jan has a cute look, but her undergarment corset is so visible that it becomes the focal point of the look. Trinity K. Bonet’s first two looks are straight-up bad, but the look she made is gorgeous! She turns out a Cinderella fantasy and even leaves her slipper on the stage. Simple storytelling and such a smart drag move. She has redeemed herself from the first episode.

Unfortunately, Pandora Boxx’s look during the ball is a bunch of first prize ribbons stitched together. It’s messy and she should have been judged harsher for it, but she ends up safe this week. In turn, Silky Nutmeg Ganache impressively stitched pants out of tough material, but the look is not great. The real story this week is Ra’Jah O’Hara. She not only lands in the top for the second week in a row, but she also won this week’s challenge. This queen is getting the true All Stars redemption. Yara Sofia spent most of the episode hilariously stomping around the Werk Room, and she even pretended to pee on a pee pad at one point. This queen is bonkers and responsible for most of the comedic moments in the season so far. She is an amazing seamstress, but this week she is overconfident and she covers her outfit in far too many things. As a result, she is up for elimination!

Poor Jiggly Caliente is famous for having one of the worst runways in Drag Race herstory. Somehow, she outdoes herself and makes an even worse outfit this week. It is literally just a blanket wrapped around her shoulders. Ra’Jah O’Hara lip-syncs against this week’s lip-sync assassin, Brooke Lynn Heights, and both Brooke and Ra’Jah dance the house down to Janet Jackson and it is nothing short of fantastic. They are both declared winners which means they both get to eliminate someone. Luckily for Yara, both of their lipsticks say Jiggly. If we had lost Yara this early, some televisions would have been smashed to the floor, including the TV of the person who is writing this recap. She is too fun not to keep around. Jiggly sashays away, but for how long? A big twist is being teased for RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 6.

Doctor Strange 2 Addresses How MCU Events Affect Benedict Cumberbatch's Hero

Doctor Strange 2 Addresses How MCU Events Affect Benedict Cumberbatch's Hero

Screenwriter Michael Waldron confirms Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will explore the effect recent MCU events have had on its titular hero. It's odd to consider it now, but had the MCU's Phase 4 rolled out as originally planned, Doctor Strange 2 would've debuted just last month. Instead, due to COVID-related delays, the Sam Raimi-directed sequel won't premiere until March 2022. Fresh off his appearance in this December's Spider-Man: No Way Home, Benedict Cumberbatch's Stephen Strange will return for a new, horror-themed adventure.

Plot details for Doctor Strange are still being kept under wraps, but the title has confirmed one thing: It's heading into the Marvel multiverse. Part of the groundwork for this was laid with the Disney+ series WandaVision, which rolled out earlier this year to great acclaim. Elizabeth Olsen will star alongside Cumberbatch in Doctor Strange 2, thus continuing Scarlet Witch's story in the aftermath of WandaVision. Doctor Strange 2 will also feature America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), Wong (Benedict Wong), Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor), and Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams).

Related: MCU Theory: Doctor Strange 2 & WandaVision's Real Villain (Not Mephisto)

Despite that impressive supporting cast, Doctor Strange 2 will still be centered on its titular character. Waldron, who also serves as head writer on Marvel's current Disney+ series Loki, recently spoke to SYFY WIRE and offered some teases about what to expect from Multiverse of Madness. Naturally, Waldron didn't let any plot details slip. However, he did reveal he brought one approach from Loki over to Doctor Strange 2, asking himself:

"‘How can you go deeper into the character of Stephen Strange?’ This is a guy who’s been through a lot in the last several years. What effect does that have on somebody so powerful? That’s exciting. And beyond all that, he’s just a great adventurer — a great adventure hero you just like to watch kick ass."

It's definitely safe to say Stephen Strange has been through a lot in the MCU. From his first foray into the world of the mystic arts in Doctor Strange (which also saw him die repeatedly to save Earth) to the grueling battle against Thanos (Josh Brolin) in both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, Stephen has been forced into some intense situations. And yet, as seen with the latter two films, he managed to be the one with the clearest sense of what the heroes had to do to win. That must have weighed heavily on him.

Therefore, it's exciting to hear Doctor Strange 2 will take that into consideration. The MCU is at its best when it is digging into the characters that keep it alive, and that element has even been the highlight of the Disney+ shows. If Waldron, who has so far done a brilliant job of digging into Tom Hiddleston's God of Mischief on Loki, keeps this in mind for Doctor Strange 2, it has the potential to be a really exciting, engaging sequel. Balancing character moments with a multiverse-spanning plot might be tricky, so here's hoping everyone involved manages to pull it off.

90 Day Fiancé: Jenny & Sumit Look Young & Different In Cute IG Update

Former 90 Day Fiancé couple Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh are not only still together and going strong in India, but they have also impressed Instagram with their fit and younger looks. With Jenny being 30 years older than Sumit, his parents saw no future for their 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way relationship and stopped them from getting married. But since the finale, Jenny and Sumit fought COVID-19 and came back stronger, revealing they are now engaged. But if age was a major concern for the TLC pair, Sumit and Jenny have both defied it as they’re glowing with happiness in their latest IG update.

Jenny has been in India for a long time and she seems to have made herself at home with Sumit in their Uttar Pradesh abode. After their engagement announcement, Sumit and Jenny both shocked fans with their weight loss reveal. Now, Jenny’s wrinkle-free skin and Sumit's floppy new hair are winning praises with every selfie the couple uploads. Rumors of Sumit leaving Jenny have been dismissed, and fans now believe they’re actually married. Interest in what happened with Sumit and Jenny peaked after she hinted at a TLC comeback soon.

Lately, Sumit and Jenny appear to be keeping themselves busy by eating healthy, feeding their fur babies, and laughing at the antics of the monkeys in their courtyard. Jenny has been keeping fit by taking walks while Sumit is healthy, skinny, and working on his flexibility with yoga. In their new update, however, Sumit seemed to be a little bit more in love with Jenny than usual as he posted a whole bunch of selfies from their terrace captioned, “Here is Jenny! Jenny o Jenny.” The 90 Day Fiancé couple is loving the hazy, hot, but less humid weather before the rains arrive, as Sumit has written, “Enjoying the weather and having fun.”

With the hashtags “#loveitorleaveit” and “#nooffense,” Sumit, in his striped collared shirt, and Jenny, with her flowy Indian tunic, have shared selfies where they look their very best yet. Jenny has the widest smile plastered to her radiant face, which fans have complimented by posting comments such as, “Love your lipstick, Jenny,” and “She looks wonderful honey.” TLC viewers are glad Sumit and Jenny are together and are sending them happy wishes.

One fan who seems quite impressed by Sumit’s culinary skills has asked the 90 Day Fiancé stars to “start a tour business” to show tourists India and authentic places to eat. A prompt reply from Sumit said, “I was thinking about it but then lockdown happened.” With Sumit and Jenny living lavish lifestyles evident via their Goa beach vacation trips and staycations, some fans wondered what the Indian man was doing for a living. It looks like this question, along with the one about their wedding, will only be answered if Jenny and Sumit return to 90 Day Fiancé as she’s hinted.

Among Us' Next Map: Why An Industrial Factory Would Be Perfect

Among Us' Next Map: Why An Industrial Factory Would Be Perfect

Among Us' last big update included the new Airship map, which was met with mixed reactions from players. The Airship is currently the largest of the levels available, but aside from its size, it also introduced new features such as ladders and elevators, and required new strategies to claim victory for both Crewmates and Impostors. Despite the difficulties of the new map, Airship was one of the most significant changes to Among Us since its release, and the addition of a new map promises to hold similar weight. With the information from the Among Us roadmap, and the gameplay features from the previous maps and updates, the next map type would benefit from centering around a factory setting or theme.

Innersloth's presentation at E3 featured some big news for the future of Among Us. Ports of Among Us were announced for Xbox and PlayStation, though an exact release date has yet to be confirmed. The maximum number of players in Among Us lobbies has also been increased to 15, shaking up strategies and renewing the possibility of having three Impostors in a single match. Innersloth also released Among Us' roadmap, outlining planned updates for the game throughout the rest of the year and beyond, including the addition of a new map.

Related: Among Us: Why 15-Player Lobbies Are Better Than 10

While there are hints, rumors, and theories about the newest map for Among Us taking place underground, a factory-themed map could be the perfect lead-in for that setting. Many factories have subterraneous levels, and there have already been hints of sewer grates and holes in the ground that suggest Innersloth's desire to venture underground for an Among Us map.

A broken-down, industrial setting could also be the perfect shift from futuristic technology and other-worldly themes that have thus far dominated the game. By returning to a more retro setting, the game could also return tasks from older maps and put them to new use. Factory lights flickering out one by one after Impostors sabotage the power, or tasks centering around moving cargo are just a few of the many gameplay options a factory level could bring to the table.

A factory-themed fifth Among Us map has a myriad of tasks that could be brought back from previous areas, and new tasks to reflect different details about the map. In a factory, some tasks like Polus' water wheels could be recalled, which reflects the more rustic design of a more retro level. The engine tasks from the Skeld could also come in handy with fixing certain generators or larger machinery within the factory. Mixing old and new activities would be an efficient way of making sure players are comfortable with new and significant changes. New tasks that could be featured at a factory level could involve fixing broken pipes across the map, filling in a schedule, clocking in for a shift, and working a crane to move cargo.

One of the newest features in Among Us' Airship map was the inclusion of ladders and mobile platforms that could cross gaps. While these gameplay features have seen some glitches and abuses, such mechanics could be implemented seamlessly into a factory map, creating different levels, like catwalks and the factory floor. These could be navigable with ladders and horizontal elevators, and additional forms of mobility could also be implemented, such as conveyor belts or forklifts.

An Among Us factory level could not only include features already present in Among Us maps but expand on and improve them. If Among Us is moving towards a subterranean map, a factory would be a perfect lead-in. Returning to more rustic, retro environments would also be a fresh change from the sci-fi themes that permeate the current maps. An Among Us factory map could also open up new opportunities to add complexity to the social deception game.

Xbox Game Pass Ad Sneaks In a PlayStation DualShock Controller

A new commercial for Xbox Game Pass features a surprising cameo, as a DualShock 4 controller for the PlayStation 4 is clearly shown being used by one of the actors. The purpose of the commercial was to announce that the streaming version of Game Pass now works on PC and Apple devices, through an Internet browser.

The streaming gaming market is still in its infancy and companies like Amazon and Google have hit pitfalls along the way, as the benefits and limitations of the medium are slowly revealed to the public. Microsoft has restricted access to its xCloud service to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, with the cloud version of games only being accessible on Android mobile devices.

Related: Xbox Apologizes For Design Lab Issues With $10 Gift Card

Microsoft has been talking about extending its Xbox Game Pass streaming service to Apple and PCs through a browser, allowing it to bypass many of Apple's restrictions. That service is now available and a new commercial on the official Xbox YouTube channel demonstrates it in action. The most surprising aspect of the commercial isn't that people are playing Sea of Thieves on a multitude of devices at once, but rather that a DualShock 4 controller is prominently seen being used by one of the actors. The PlayStation logo isn't shown in focus, but it's obvious which controller is being used.

It's hard to imagine that this was an accident, even though a DualSense controller had to be removed from an E3 trailer only a few weeks ago, as it was accidentally included in a show without Sony representation. Rather, it's likely that Microsoft is demonstrating that a very popular controller will work with its service. The official Microsoft website confirms that the DualShock 4 works with the cloud version of Xbox Game Pass, and this commercial is showing it in action.

The fact that most controllers use Bluetooth to connect to their systems means that it's easy for people with adapters to mix and match the ones they wish to use. It's possible to use a DualSense controller with a Nintendo Switch, so long as the player has the right adapter. Microsoft wants Xbox Game Pass to reach as many players as possible, and expanding its streaming services to Apple devices and PC is a huge step in this plan. The PlayStation 4 is one of the best-selling video game consoles of all time, so it's likely that a lot of people have a DualShock 4 sitting around in their living room. Microsoft could use this to their advantage, by encouraging people to use a PlayStation controller with the Xbox Game Pass paid streaming service.

False Positive Review: A Promising, Yet Uninspiring Rosemary's Baby Rip-Off

False Positive Review: A Promising, Yet Uninspiring Rosemary's Baby Rip-Off

Pregnancy thrillers carry a sense of innate foreboding within their fabric, something that is best exemplified in Roman Polanski’s Rosemary’s Baby. The 1968 psychological horror casts a long shadow in terms of aspirational horror filmmaking, and rightly so, owing to its layered treatment of the anxieties and ecstasies of motherhood. Grounding itself within his borrowed premise, False Positive, A24’s latest offering, attempts to add a fairly post-modern twist to an already-overused horror trope. Despite a compelling first half, False Positive fails to imbue the pregnancy horror trope with depth or ingenuity, accelerating to a banal finish.

Writer-director John Lee aims his lens on copywriter Lucy Martin (Ilana Glazer, who also co-wrote the script), an ambitious digital marketer who has been trying to conceive with her husband Adrian (Justin Theroux) for two years. Pushed to the edge, the couple decides to seek the aid of Dr. Hindle (Pierce Brosnan), a leading fertility doctor with widely-publicized success stories. Using a self-invented method of insemination, Hindle helps Lucy get pregnant, much to the joy of the couple. Despite presenting a hopeful premise, the cold interiors of Dr. Hindle’s clinic perennially harbor a sense of unease, one that is reflected in frenetic glimpses into Lucy’s psyche and the way in which Hindle presents himself.

RELATED: Why Hereditary Is A Millennial Twist On Rosemary’s Baby

The gap between appearance and reality widens when Hindle suggests Lucy opt for selective reduction, as she is pregnant with three embryos - two male twins and a female. This is where Lucy’s agency is completely taken away, as she is forced to fit into predetermined roles dictated by the men in her life. As time progresses, a schism forms within Lucy, who is torn between regaining autonomy over her body and giving in to the apparent concerns of those around her. The concept of motherhood is unmistakably tinged with terror, as its many joys come nowhere near the sheer horror of birthing another being into the bleakness of existence, especially when the premise is pregnant with covert and nefarious intentions.

Interestingly, Lee uses the concept of “mommy brain” in order to fuel the mounting horror pervading Lucy’s life. Are Lucy’s delusions rooted in the intense psychological changes that inherently accompany the process of pregnancy, or are they rooted in factors deemed more calculated and sinister? At this juncture, False Positive starts losing its sheen, inadvertently falling back into the hackneyed tropes that have been done to death in the most unimaginative ways possible. Although the film attempts to craft a social commentary of sorts around the frenzied lives of the characters in question, this intention falls flat due to a lack of narrative clarity and plot-driven inventiveness.

As per performances, Glazer is convincing as a woman on the verge of losing control while undergoing a change traditionally considered sacred and positively life-changing. Although Brosnan’s Hindle manages to unnerve the viewer from the get-go, his character, along with that of Theroux’s, feels underused when compared to the potential of the respective actors and the premise as a whole.

Perhaps the weakest point of False Positive is its ending, which might be considered controversial and vapid, especially as the visual imagery utilized verges more on shock value than genuine dread. An inescapable comparison to the film’s original source material emerges, serving to heighten the gap between the film’s coerced ending and Polanski’s naturally confounding one. While False Positive brims with the potential for a new era in horror, it ultimately comes off as an ill-conceived notion, a gaping rift in space and time.

False Positive had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 18, 2021. It was released on June 25, 2021 and is available for streaming on Hulu. The film is 92 minutes long and is rated R for disturbing/bloody images, sexual content, graphic nudity, and language.

Shang-Chi Teases The MCU's Biggest Atlantis Setup Yet

Shang-Chi Teases The MCU's Biggest Atlantis Setup Yet

The dragon in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings may be the biggest Atlantis setup that Marvel has attempted yet. Thus far, Marvel has avoided directly mentioning the undersea kingdom and the home of Namor the Sub-Mariner in Marvel’s movies.

A map marker at a seemingly random location in the Atlantic Ocean in Iron Man 2 was taken as a reference to Atlantis, and an indication that this secret underwater city might exist in the MCU. However, it was hard to say for sure if Iron Man 2 was specifically hinting at Atlantis. A more obvious (but not blatant) nod came in Avengers: Endgame through an odd exchange between Okoye (Danai Gurira) and Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson). When Natasha asked about Wakanda’s response to strange underwater earthquakes, Okoye said that they would “handle it by not handling it.” Normally such a comment would seem unnecessary, but not if the point was to set up the introduction of Atlantis in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which is expected to include Namor as the villain.

Related: What Happened To Abomination Between Incredible Hulk & Shang-Chi

Avengers: Endgame was the closest Marvel has come yet to teasing Namor’s homeland, but it looks like Marvel may be taking a big step forward in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The second trailer for Marvel’s first foray into the kung fu genre previewed a blue dragon in an underwater sequence. Toys have spoiled that this creature is known as The Great Protector” in the MCU. What exactly he’s protecting isn’t clear, but there’s a possibility that he’s “The Great Protector” of Atlantis. After all, Atlantis is watched over by an enormous guardian dragon in Marvel Comics. While Shang-Chi may seem like an usual choice to head in this direction, the inclusion of any dragon (not to mention the trailers’ giant bears) proves that its incorporating some major fantasy elements.

Regardless of whether or not the Great Protector is revealed to be the guardian dragon of the MCU’s Atlantis, this creature can be still be connected to the mythical city. Namor the Sub-Mariner comics have featured a few Atlantean dragons over the years, which show that this species is native to Namor’s home in the Marvel Universe. Coincidentally, Shang-Chi himself had an encounter of his own with one of these dragons in a recent comic. So with all that mind, the monster that appears in Shang-Chi could be from Atlantis, too, especially since the movie will need to explain its origin. Though he may be in living in Mandarin’s base of operations (or a different Shang-Chi location), it’s quite possible that Atlantis is where he originates. Mandarin (Tony Leung) could have acquired him from somewhere in the ocean, either from within or not far from the city.

Proper Atlantis setup in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings could come easily, while being huge for the MCU’s future at the same, especially when considering how important Namor and his people are in the comic books. All Shang-Chi needs to do is for Mandarin or another character to mention Atlantis when discussing the creature. Shang-Chi (Simu Liu) battling an Atlantean monster could be the perfect lead-in for Atlantis’ long-awaited reveal in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Nintendo Switch Pro's Actual Release Will Be in 2022, New Rumor Claims

Nintendo Switch Pro's Actual Release Will Be in 2022, New Rumor Claims

A new rumor claims that the Nintendo Switch Pro's actual release will be in 2022. An upgraded version of the Nintendo Switch has been rumored for years, and these rumors were recently reignited after 4k Animal Crossing screenshots were posted by the official Animal Crossing account.

Typically, Nintendo Switch screenshots are in 1080p, which is the console's max resolution. While the Nintendo Switch has sold unbelievably well, players still have their gripes with it. Much has been written about the drifting issues with the Switch's Joy Con controllers and the technical limitations imposed by the console's comparatively weak hardware. Despite both consumer demand and complaints growing, it has been rumored that a new Nintendo Switch might release alongside The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2.

Related: Some Nintendo Switch Players Reportedly Unable To Download Any Games

Recent rumors from SwitchUpG on Twitter (courtesy of Wccftech) seem to support this theory. Per SwitchUpG, an anonymous manufacturer of Nintendo Switch peripherals (controllers, SD cards, headsets, etc.), "Says they’ve been told 2022 global market release." SwitchUp is an established, Nintendo-oriented channel on YouTube, and while it is possible that it has some reliable sources, the channel is not typically known for news. Until more evidence comes in, it is important to regard this as just a rumor and nothing more concrete.

Nintendo not releasing the Switch Pro this year would be a blow to fans, especially with Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl set to release this holiday season. However, with half of 2021 gone already and no official word or even hint of a new Nintendo Switch, a release before 2022 is becoming increasingly unlikely. As for why this is the Switch Pro is being slowed down, there could be any number of reasons. One theory could be the still ongoing semiconductor shortage, which has been plaguing electronics manufacturers across the world. The shortage is one of the major reasons PlayStation 5 consoles have been hard to find, and Nintendo has not been exempt the effects of the shortage either. Another theory is that Nintendo could be going all in on 2022 being its big year.

So far (at the time of writing), 2022 is set to feature an HD remake of Legend of Zelda: Skyward SwordPokémon Legends: ArceusSplatoon 3, and Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope. Each of these games could perform incredibly well when they release as is. But to have them release alongside a new, upgraded Nintendo Switch model could be all the more profitable for Nintendo. Of course, the public may never know (unless it happens), as courts have shown that leaking Nintendo information can be very expensive.

Last Of Us 2 Lev Actor Reflects On Character's Identity & Future

Last Of Us 2 Lev Actor Reflects On Character's Identity & Future

The actor who portrays Lev in The Last of Us Part 2 believes that his character has a bright future. The Last of Us Part 2 recently celebrated its first anniversary, but even 12 months after its release, it is still the topic of wide discussions across the gaming community. When The Last of Us Part 2 released, it immediately became one of the most prolific games on the market. However, while the gameplay itself was lauded, boasting numerous advancements on the previous game and improved accessibility options, its narrative was the topic of volatile debates across the internet.

The scene that sees secondary protagonist Abby Anderson murder Joel Miller was one that caused outrage among many fans. But while the character of Abby was divisive due to her actions at the start of The Last of Us Part 2, her overall arc is one that is loaded with emotion, culminating in one of the most harrowing but poignant scenes yet to be witnessed in a videogame. A large part of her character’s redemption story is routed firmly in her relationship with Lev, a transgender former Seraphite who joins with Abby after fleeing from his own home to escape the religious cult.

Related: How Much The Last of Us Part 2 Cost To Make

Now, in an interview with Wired (via PlayStationLifestyle), Lev’s actor has revealed what made the relationship between his character and Abby so important in The Last of Us Part 2, and what he believes is in Lev’s future. Actor Ian Alexander drew many parallels between Lev’s story and his own, including his upbringing in a religious environment, and the rejection he faced after coming out as transgender as a teenager. This is where Alexander praises the dialogue in The Last of Us Part 2. During his interview, Alexander drew attention to the scene where Abby and Lev first discuss Lev’s identity. Following a fight with the Seraphites wherein the cult uses Lev's deadname, the character asks Abby if she wants to know why they used that name. Instead, Abby asks Lev if he wants her to know. This simple gesture gave the control of the situation back to Lev. As Alexander says:

I felt like it was really important, not only for myself as a trans person to see that scene but also for cis allies to see that scene and realize this is the way that a discussion surrounding someone’s gender should be. It should always be their decision. They make the first move. They have agency over talking about it, because it is something that’s really deeply personal and can be very triggering to talk about.”

Meanwhile, Alexander also revealed what he believes to be in Lev’s future, following on from the events of The Last of Us Part 2. When discussing if Lev could ever make a showing in any other installments in The Last of Us series, Alexander revealed that he thinks that Lev “will find a lot of that chosen family, in a way that can help him heal from that wound of losing Yara in such a traumatic way and losing his mother in such a traumatic way and his whole community from childhood. I think Lev has a very bright future.”

It has been revealed that Neil Druckmann and Haley Gross already have an outline in mind for The Last of Us Part 3, and that Lev featured in some of their brainstorms for the franchise’s future. However, despite the ideas being there, the next game in the series is not yet announced to be in production.

That being said, Neil Druckmann has teased fans that Naughty Dog is currently working on its “next set” of games. Just what they are and if they include Lev, however, remains to be seen. Hopefully it won't be too long until players find out if Lev's future is as bright as his actor hopes.

Marvel Is Reversing Infinity War's Most Tragic Death In Dark Ages

Marvel Is Reversing Infinity War's Most Tragic Death In Dark Ages

Warning! Spoilers for Marvel's Dark Ages #1 below.

Marvel Comics is reversing the saddest death from Avengers: Infinity War, but with a twist. In a new preview for the upcoming Dark Ages event, Scarlet Witch is shown disintegrating while Vision can only watch on in horror. The moment is reminiscent of one of Wanda Maximoff's greatest MCU tragedies; when she watched Thanos destroy Vision to steal the Mind Stone.

The most tragic death in Avengers: Infinity War wasn't any of the heroes who were snapped away by Thanos, but instead when the Mad Titan ripped the Mind Stone from Vision's head. Scarlet Witch was even forced to kill her greatest love, destroying the Infinity Stone before Thanos got to it. However, the supervillain used the Time Stone to reverse time and bring Vision back to life, just so he could kill the synthezoid all over again. Vision's destruction would lead to Wanda taking over Westwood and creating a false reality in WandaVision. Now, Marvel is putting Vision through a similar hell.

Related: Vision's Ultimate Form Had More Powers Than Any Other Avenger

Tom Taylor and Iban Coello's upcoming Dark Ages event will plunge the Marvel Universe into darkness, as all sources of power will go out. The results are shaping up to be catastrophic, as heroes are left picking up the pieces in a world that's been sent back to the Dark Ages. After previously teasing Iron Man's suit failing mid-air and crashing against a plane, a new preview posted by Bleeding Cool shows the grisly fate of Scarlet Witch. In uncolored and unlettered art by Coello, Vision is seen rushing to his partner's aid, only to see her disintegrate.

Vision reaches out for Wanda with a look of horror on both their faces, as she starts to disappear in front of him. After she fades away, Vision immediately launches towards a giant force that is probably the Unmaker - who's set to be the big bad of the series. Perhaps, the Unmaker's power is to literally remove people from the timeline, much like Thanos' snap in Avengers: Infinity War.

Much like Scarlet Witch witnessing Vision die in Avengers: Infinity War, readers can similarly see the overwhelming pain on his face as Wanda begins to disappear. The moment is a mix of Vision's death from the film but reversed, and is also similar to Thanos' snap. Scarlet Witch's death is set to send Vision down a dark path that includes a horrifying new look. It's apparent the Avengers and Vision are in huge trouble, as Scarlet Witch's death illustrates the magnitude of power the surviving heroes are up against. Dark Ages is in comic book stores in September.

Sister Wives: Janelle Reveals She Left Home For A Summer 'Adventure'

The pressure keeps mounting on Sister Wives as things get more and more tense between Kody, Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn Brown. The Browns' lives have been anything but stable since they moved to Flagstaff, Arizona. Kody had no idea how much time and money it would take to develop the land he bought, leaving the wives scrambling for places to live for an undetermined amount of time. Now, the situation has led Janelle to what she’s calling an "adventure.

Kody Brown has admitted the life he is providing his wives is not what he promised them. On top of the families living separately and the frequent fighting, Kody has struggled to support his wives. His choice to frequently move the families has made it hard for the wives to pursue careers outside of being reality TV stars. Things have gotten so bad that viewers are expecting the polygamous family to break apart at any moment. When news got out of Janelle’s rental being sold, fans were wondering what it meant.

It wasn’t Janelle’s choice to sell her rental. Instead, the homeowner decided to put it on the market, leaving Janelle scrambling to find another rental property. Robyn went through a similar struggle, with rentals being hard to find, and was eventually pressured by Kody into buying a home. Janelle explained on Instagram, “Not only is the housing market in Flagstaff as crazy as where you are I’m sure, rentals are even harder to come by.” To find a home for herself, Janelle settled on a more untraditional route: buying an RV.

Janelle talked about wanting to have an RV in the past, but the reality of living in one full-time is giving her a little pause, though she is trying to make the best of it. “Honestly I’m alternating between extreme excitement as I’ve always wanted to try this and anxiety at all the unknown variables. So stay tuned, this is about to get real!” The good news is that someone is finally making use of the Coyote Pass land Kody bought. “Lots to do out here on the land so I figured why not be onsite,” Janelle said. Janelle living on the property may help the Browns get their land developed sooner, both by saving the family money and because living in a cramped RV is not ideal long-term.

Overall, Janelle’s followers not only think this is a good idea, they think the other wives should follow suit. The family’s money problems are a reoccurring theme on the show, so not having four mortgage payments could save Kody and his wives a significant amount of money. What the future holds for Janelle, Robyn, Meri, and Christine is unclear. Janelle has been working to improve herself and is facing this setback with the right attitude, seeing this unwanted development as a new adventure. Though there has been no official announcement about a possible season 16 yet, many viewers are hoping they will get the chance to see more from the Sister Wives.
