10 Best Theme Park Rides Inspired By Movies | ScreenRant

Films and amusement park rides have had a long-standing relationship with one another, one that goes as far back as 1955 when Disneyland first opened its doors. While some movie franchises have been based on popular rides, in most recent cases, popular rides have been themed around beloved movies.

From Star Wars to Harry Potter to Avatar, movies have inspired some of the best rides ever to grace theme parks. These attractions thrill visitors while making use of the latest technologies and transporting fans into the fantastical worlds they love.

10 Incredicoaster (Disney's California Adventure)

Originally named California Screamin' when Disney's California Adventure opened in 2001 according to Mercury News, this attraction was re-themed to The Incredibles when the park created Pixar Pier. The ride's story follows the super-powered Parr family as they try to control Jack-Jack on his worst behavior.

Starting with a powerful launch and featuring the lone inversion of the two Los Angeles-area Disney parks according to the Roller Coaster Database, Incredicoaster has been well-received for its intensity and length.

9 Jurassic World - The Ride Stuns (Universal Studios Hollywood)

Originally themed around the Jurassic Park films, this ride was updated in 2019 to include aspects of the Jurassic World franchise. Following the same basic structure as the original, riders ride through the Jurassic World park before plunging down a steep drop when an Indominous Rex attacks.

Critics such as those from The LA Times have complimented the ride's cutting-edge technology, as well as its more extreme updates, such as an increase in the intensity of the ride's drop and the amount of water involved.

8 Revenge Of The Mummy (Universal Studios)

This roller coaster, based on The Mummy franchise, first opened in Universal Studios Florida. Though there are three different versions of the ride now, they all follow the same basic story of escaping from Imhotep.

This attraction begins by taking riders through various scenes before unexpectedly launching into a series of twists, turns, and drops in near-total darkness. Though the ride isn't the most extreme of the thrill rides at the Universal Studios parks, the ride's theming and surprising elements have made it into a fan favorite.

7 Harry Potter And The Escape From Gringotts (Universal Studios Orlando)

This is the second ride based on the Harry Potter franchise to open at Universal Studios Orlando. Situated in the park's Diagon Alley area, riders are taken on a tour of Gringotts before they must escape from franchise villain Voldemort and other Harry Potter baddies.

Combining 3D effects with a fast-paced roller coaster, this ride truly is a unique experience. Per Intamin, it has repeatedly been placed in the Top Five Dark Rides In The World by the Golden Ticket Awards in the years since it opened.

6 Star Wars: Rise Of The Resistance (Disney Parks)

In this intergalactic attraction, riders find themselves onboard a Resistance ship that is suddenly captured by the nefarious First Order. With the help of Finn, Poe, and Rey, riders must escape the ship as Kylo Ren chases after them.

Lasting a massive 18 minutes long, this Star Wars-themed ride is innovative in many ways. This is the first ride to utilize Disney's virtual queue process, according to Disney Information Station, and it combines multiple ride sequences and set pieces in order to make guests feel like they are truly in the middle of an epic battle.

5 Saw: The Ride (Thorpe Park)

Based around Lionsgate's hit Saw franchise, this ride takes viewers on a fast-paced journey that includes many close-calls with Jigsaw's traps. The ride includes many intense elements, including multiple inversions and a terrifyingly steep drop.

One of the few horror movie-themed theme park rides in the world, this ride has been praised for its intensity, level of theming, and interesting layout.

4 Toy Story Midway Mania (Disney Parks Worldwide)

An incredibly popular Disney ride, Toy Story: Midway Mania is an interactive 4-D attraction. In it, guests are taken to various point-based mini-games, with the goal of getting the highest overall score in the cart.

Based on Pixar's beloved Toy Story franchise, this ride has gained popularity because of its easy and fun ride mechanics and its appeal to all ages.

3 Avatar: Flight Of Passage (Disney's Animal Kingdom)

This ride is the main event at the Pandora: The World of Avatar section of Disney's Animal Kingdom. A 3D flight simulator, this attraction allows guests to board a Banshee and take flight across the world of Avatar. Throughout the adventure, fans visit massive floating rocks and the vast underwater areas of Pandora.

Ranked as the second-best new ride of 2017 by The Golden Ticket Awards, this ride has a similar ride design to Soarin' but stands out due to its immersive ride vehicles and its long duration.

2 Dinosaur Roars (Disney's Animal Kingdom)

This exciting Animal Kingdom ride is a dark ride/simulator that transports fans back to the age of the dinosaurs. However, an asteroid is hurtling toward Earth, threatening to wipe everything out, adding an element of danger.

Originally titled Countdown to Extinction, this ride was re-themed in 2000 to promote Disney's film Dinosaur. One of the rare rides more popular than its original film, this thrilling Disney Parks adventure has become a fan-favorite due to its impressive design and animatronics.

1 TRON Lightcycle Power Run (Shanghai Disneyland)

Themed to Disney's TRON  franchise, this roller coaster takes riders on a fast-paced ride on forward-leaning seats designed to mimic the light cycle vehicle from the franchise. Though there is currently only one version operating today, the TRON ride's popularity has caused Disney to plan a second version as part of an expansion to Disney's Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, per the official Disney Parks blog.

With an innovative design and impeccable theming by Disney, this has been a ride that has been heavily praised.

How Assassin's Creed Can Wrap Up Abstergo's Many Plot Threads

How Assassin's Creed Can Wrap Up Abstergo's Many Plot Threads

Ubisoft's upcoming Assassin's Creed project was confirmed shortly after it was leaked to the public, though little is known about how it might wrap up remaining Abstergo plot threads. The project has temporarily been titled Assassin's Creed Infinity and will be introducing several new features to the franchise. It will be the first live-service Assassin's Creed game, and will also be exploring multiple different settings. While announced and assumed changes have met with mixed reception, some of these features could contribute to bringing current storylines to a close.

Throughout the many years of Ubisoft's development on the IP, the storyline for the Assassin's Creed franchise has been less than coherent, with spiraling storylines and in-game story information sometimes lacking, leaving details scattered throughout comic books, novels, spin-off games, and hidden lore entries. One of the specific plots that has been generally abandoned surrounds Abstergo's ongoing conflicts. Abstergo is the modern-day Templar faction that doubles as a huge corporate entity. The company has acted as the modern antagonistic force for Assassin's Creed's many modern protagonists, no matter their faction, and while some of these plotlines were more appealing than others, Abstergo has several stories that could be definitively resolved through Assassin's Creed Infinity's live-service model and different time periods.

Related: AC Infinity Could Bring Another New Feature To Assassin's Creed

Ubisoft can use the new model to allow more consistent progression of stories with less-choppy transitions. Many fans of the franchise preferred past storylines, which forced Ubisoft's focus away from the modern plotlines. Even DLCs in games such as Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Odyssey sometimes failed to deliver satisfactory endings, and some didn't even address the larger story. With a live-service development style, Assassin's Creed Infinity could steadily resolve Abstergo's plots in the modern-day segments of each update. While the storytelling methods of the upcoming Assassin's Creed game have yet to be fully revealed, a story delivered in chapters could function to provide the modern-day conflict the same attention as the conflict in the past.

Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin's Creed Infinity will explore different time periods, unlike many of its predecessors which primarily focus on a single Brotherhood agent in a specific era. By exploring a variety of time periods, Assassin's Creed Infinity can pursue a more linear form of storytelling centered around specific plot points. There are many characters that seem to have vanished from the in-game spotlight. Some of their fates (such as Olivier Garneau) can be surmised from Easter Eggs in games like Watch Dogs, or within the Assassin's Creed extended universe comics and novels. Bringing prominent Abstergo figures back into the game through various timelines could complete the modern-day plots that have been neglected. Facing the ancestor of a future Abstergo employee, such as Otso Berg, could give modern-day confrontations more weight.

Both the development style of Assassin's Creed Infinity and the choice to explore different time periods within the same installment of the franchise can work towards resolving abandoned Abstergo plotlines. One of the most significant plots that was abandoned and then strangely addressed was Juno's involvement at the Abstergo company. At the conclusion of Assassin's Creed 3, it was shown that Juno was influencing Abstergo to make Isu clones, though for what purpose was ultimately unknown. While Juno is still regarded as a threat, this modern plot has been more or less abandoned. Additionally, following Desmond Miles' untimely demise at the conclusion of Assassin's Creed Revelations, Abstergo reportedly stole his body for tests. While this is used as a plot device to explain how various memories were accessed in Assassin's Creed Black Flag's story, the ultimate goal for keeping his body has also not been revealed, nor has its current whereabouts.

Assassin's Creed Infinity has plenty of potential for the Assassin's Creed franchise, but the storytelling opportunities can save the series' modern-day narrative if executed correctly. Combined with a live-service format and more movement throughout different settings, the plot holes left in the Abstergo storyline can steadily be resolved during the game's ongoing development. Chapters dedicated to specific enemies, nefarious plots, and Eden artifacts can construct a more linear progression to the plotlines of the Assassin's Creed franchise. Ubisoft has not yet revealed a release date for Assassin's Creed Infinity, as it is still in the early stages of development.

Why Bad Batch Likely Won't Set Up More Rebels Characters After Kanan & Hera

Why Bad Batch Likely Won't Set Up More Rebels Characters After Kanan & Hera

Warning! Spoilers ahead for Star Wars: The Bad Batch episode 11, "Devil's Deal".

While Star Wars: The Bad Batch has now set up two characters from the Star Wars Rebels animated series, it's likely that there won't be anymore going forward as the series continues. Thus far, The Bad Batch has done a great job acting as a bridge between the prequel and original trilogies, featuring elements from The Clone Wars that still remain after the war's end, while also bringing in elements from the original trilogy as the Empire begins its reign of oppression over the galaxy. However, having three characters being set up from Star Wars Rebels seems to be more than enough, seeing as how anyone else being featured from the crew of The Ghost would most likely feel forced during this particular time period.

In the first episode of The Bad Batch, Caleb Dume was featured escaping the clone troopers and Clone Force 99 during the Jedi Purge, setting up his future as a survivor of Order 66. He would then eventually take the name Kanan and create the Spectres with Hera Syndulla in Star Wars Rebels. Likewise, the latest episode of the series ("Devil's Deal") features young Hera during the Empire's takeover of her homeworld of Ryloth, and their control over her people has led to her family being put in danger in the years before she'll eventually join the Rebel Alliance.

Related: Star Wars: Anakin Led An Army Of Slaves In Order 66

While Hera's story in The Bad Batch will perhaps continue with one or two more episodes, it's doubtful that any other members of The Ghost crew will be featured in the series going forward. Firstly, Zeb Orrelios is likely still a part of the Lasan Honor Guard during the Empire's subjugation and subsequent devastation of his homeworld. Secondly, Ezra Bridger and Sabine Wren either haven't been born yet or are still quite young at this point in the Star Wars timeline, so it wouldn't make much sense to feature them either. Setting up Kanan and Hera's stories, along with Chopper, is certainly satisfying enough.

Having any more of the Rebels featured at this point of the series would feel somewhat forced, and would certainly detract from the core squad of clones themselves. Case in point, the Bad Batch were hardly in episode 11 as the focus was kept largely on Hera Syndulla. As such, it's doubtful that the series would go that route a second time. That being said, the Empire's takeover of Ryloth is quite interesting considering its tumultuous history during the Clone Wars, and viewing it through Hera's perspective is certainly a dynamic lens considering how critical she becomes within the Rebellion.

In any case, including young Kanan and Hera is certainly welcome to Star Wars: The Bad Batch, though, hopefully, Lucasfilm won't go overboard by introducing anyone else from the Star Wars Rebels series. However, it doesn't seem as though Hera's Bad Batch story is over just yet, and it's likely that she'll soon be getting some help from Clone Force 99 to save her parents from the Empire in future episodes of the new Star Wars animated series.

Jackass 4 Image Shows Johnny Knoxville Getting Knocked Out By a Bull

Jackass 4 Image Shows Johnny Knoxville Getting Knocked Out By a Bull

Jackass Forever shared a jaw-dropping image of Johnny Knoxville getting knocked out by a bull ahead of the film's release. Knoxville has been stunning viewers with mind-blowing stunts for over twenty years now. He co-created and starred in the reality show Jackass on MTV from 2000-2002. Despite only having three seasons, the controversial comedy series developed a dedicated fanbase.  The franchise now exists in film form through Paramount Pictures.

Knoxville and his Jackass cohorts were last seen blowing up the big screen with Jackass 3D in 2010. While the movie was a massive success, it appeared to be the final chapter for the crew, who had been pushing their luck with dangerous stunts. Eight years later, Knoxville delighted fans by saying he had an idea for another installment. Jackass 4 is now officially slated to release on October 22, 2021.

RELATED: Why Jackass 4 Is Johnny Knoxville's Last Outrageous Stunt Movie

Jackass 4 teased fans with the latest round of threatening stunts by sharing new images from the Paramount Pictures film. One of the most eye-catching snaps shows Knoxville being knocked into the air by a raging bull as crew members look on with astonished delight. According to the official Jackass Instagram, Knoxville suffered "a concussion, a broken wrist, and a broken rib." See the photo and more first looks from the highly-anticipated documentary below:

Based on these new photos, Knoxville isn't the only cast member in the hot seat. Brave participants will attempt stunts featuring: a human cannonball, a close encounter with a snake, and some painful-looking contraption. In addition to a smattering of new faces, Knoxville is joined by his ride or die gang Steve-O, Jason "Wee Man" Acuna, Chris Pontius, Dave England, Ehren McGhehey, Preston Lacy, and director Jeff Tremaine.

It seems another returning entity to Jackass 4 is the fighting bull. Knoxville and friends have tangoed with the dangerous animal many times throughout the franchise. One of the most memorable was "The Toro Totter" in Jackass Number Two with Knoxville, Pontius, Bam Margera, and the late Ryan Dunn. The foursome sat on a custom seesaw quad in the center of a rodeo ring as a raging bull attempted to knock them down. The result was a wince-inducing clip that went down in Jackass history. While Knoxville latest the longest then, clearly, he didn't get his bull fix.

Seeing Knoxville upside down in a state of peril isn't an unusual position for the performer but certainly a welcome sight for fans. Jackass Forever is set as the highest-stakes installment yet, with the cast members older but not wiser. If the new photos tease anything, it's that viewers can expect to get the usual hair-raising antics one last time.

How to Unlock LeBron James in Fortnite | Screen Rant

How to Unlock LeBron James in Fortnite | Screen Rant

Sports icon and movie star LeBron James is joining the fight against the Alien Invasion in Fortnite Season 7 as a new playable character. In addition to popular fictional characters like the DC and Marvel superheroes and villains, Lara Croft, and The Mandalorian, Fortnite has frequently introduced real-world celebrities as cosmetics players can unlock and use in a match through their Icon Series. Past entries in the Icon Series have included rapper Travis Scott, streamer Ninja, and athlete Neymar Jr. Like most characters in the Icon Series, players cannot unlock the LeBron James cosmetics through in-game activities. Instead, they will need to purchase the set from the Item Shop.

The LeBron James cosmetics set in Fortnite comes with multiple style variants, with each one featuring a pair of the basketball legend's new Nike LeBron 19 shoes. The set also includes a Pickaxe, a Glider, and, depending on whether players buy the bundle, a Loading Screen. Players will need to use V-Bucks to bring LeBron James into a match. Here's how to unlock the LeBron James cosmetics in Fortnite and everything players get in the various bundles.

Players will need to wait a few days before they can get the LeBron James outfits and gear in Fortnite. The sets will arrive in the Fortnite Item Shop on July 14, 2021, around midnight UTC and 5 p.m. PST. Players can purchase the basic skin with a second unlockable style variant, a Pickaxe, Glider, and Emote, and two more casual outfits that are sold separately. Every LeBron James cosmetic item coming to Fortnite appears below:

  • LeBron James Outfit: A costume blending LeBron's on-court and pre-game appearance that includes a floating crown and sunglasses. Includes an unlockable gold-accented variant with a slider to control the amount of gold pigmentation.
  • The Lion Pickaxe: Includes an unlockable gold-accented variant with a slider to control the amount of gold pigmentation.
  • Wingspan Glider: Includes an unlockable gold-accented variant with a slider to control the amount of gold pigmentation.
  • The Silencer: An Emote based on LeBron's signature celebration moves
  • Tune Squad LeBron Outfit: A costume based on LeBron's Tune Squad uniform in Space Jamincludes the Taco Tuesday style variant and Pack Supreme Back Bling
  • Court's In Session Loading Screen: Exclusive to the King James Bundle.

Each of the LeBron James Outfits comes with an in-game version of the upcoming Nike LeBron 19 shoes. Players can also get every one of the above cosmetics with the purchase of the King James Bundle. The Court's In Session Loading Screen is only available with the purchase of the bundle.

Epic Games has not yet revealed a price to unlock the LeBron James skin and gear bundle in Fortnite. Other skins and sets in the Icon Series have typically sold for between 1,500 and 2,000 V-Bucks, so players should expect to spend at least that much. Given the excitement surrounding this skin, and the size of the King James Bundle, it is possible the set will cost more than any of the others in the series.

Players will need to unlock the gold variants of the LeBron James Outfit, Lion Pickaxe, and Wingspan Glider in Fortnite by completing the upcoming King's Bling quests. While little is currently known about these quests, it is likely they will be similar to the Neymar Jr challenges from Fortnite Season 6. As players clear more quests, their items can become progressively more accented in gold and they will eventually unlock the slider bar to fully customize the amount of gold on each item. The slider includes 20 possible variations so players can express their unique style while playing with the King.

Rick & Morty: Who Voices The Sperm Queen (Where You Know The Voice From)

Rick & Morty: Who Voices The Sperm Queen (Where You Know The Voice From)

The giant, villainous sperm queen is a new character introduced in Rick and Morty season 5, episode 4, “Rickdependence Spray,” but who voices her? The Adult Swim series is well known for the many notable guest stars who have contributed their vocal talents to different episodes, and that trend has stayed strong so far in season 5. “Rickdependence Spray” also guest stars Kyle Mooney, Christina Ricci, Adam Rodriguez, and Keith David in his fan-favorite role as the President of the United States.

The story of “Rickdependence Spray” revolves around Morty using a machine at his mother’s horse hospital – intended to help get sperm samples from horses – to masturbate. That leads to a baffling science experiment through which Rick accidentally turns all of Morty’s sperms within the machine into giant, sentient monsters, led by a powerful queen. It’s in the running for one of the strangest storylines the show has ever featured, but it also isn’t without its moments of solid comedy.

Related: Rick & Morty Season 5 Fixes Its Most Problematic Character

Comedian Michelle Buteau voices the sperm queen in Rick and Morty, and there a number of movies and shows from which one might recognize her voice. In addition to her extensive stand-up comedy career, which includes the Netflix special Michelle Buteau: Welcome to Buteaupia, Buteau hosts the Late Night Whenever! podcast and is the author of an essay collection called Survival of the Thickest. On screen, Buteau has appeared in films like Isn’t It Romantic, Someone Great, Work It, Happiest Season and Always Be My Maybe, where she played Veronica. Her TV credits include Private Robinson in Enlisted, Beck in The Tick, Bree Washington in First Wives Club, and Wrenita Butler in Tales of the City. Buteau has also appeared on shows like Key & Peele, China, IL, and Russian Doll.

Buteau’s sperm queen is the latest of Rick and Morty season 5’s already long list of bizarre guest characters. That list also includes Rick’s nemesis Mr. Nimbus (Dan Harmon) and the Captain Planet spoof character Planetina (Alison Brie). Given the show’s track record, there are sure to be plenty more wacky guest characters in season 5 before the final credits role.

It’s unlikely that Buteau’s sperm queen will return in the future, given that she is seen plummeting to her death at the end of the episode, but of course that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. Rick and Morty has always done a strong job of bringing back more minor characters when the story calls for it, such as David’s U.S. president character. It should be interesting to see what other crazy characters feature in the rest of Rick and Morty season 5.

The Munsters House Design Shared By Reboot Director Rob Zombie

The Munsters House Design Shared By Reboot Director Rob Zombie

Horror film director Rob Zombie has teased a look at design plans for The Munsters’ home in his upcoming big-screen reboot. Originally a TV series that ran from 1964-1966 on CBS, The Munsters took some of Universal’s classic monsters and gave them a sitcom setting, incorporating creepy elements with a fish out of water narrative that kept the series fun. Despite only airing for two seasons, the show gained a cult following that persists even today.

There had been talk for years that the IP was going to be rebooted in some capacity and Zombie himself had stated that he’d been trying to make The Munsters into a film for 20 years. Finally, after much conjecture and waiting on the part of fans, Zombie was officially confirmed as the director of a new Munsters film just last month. This came after NBC passed on a rebooted and apparently much darker version of the concept for a new TV series. Several years after that project came to an end, Seth Meyers was rumored to be producing a new Munsters TV series that would have seen the macabre family relocating from California to Brooklyn, New York, where they balanced life alongside the borough’s notorious hipster population. Once again, that attempt to revitalize the IP failed to come to fruition.

Related: Every Horror Movie That Inspired Rob Zombie's Music Videos

It might still be very early days for Zombie’s Munsters film, but judging by the latest bit of evidence that things are moving forward, this could be the most ambitious adaptation yet. Zombie offered fans their first look at design plans for the Munsters family home via his official Instagram account recently, calling it “the most perfect Munsters house since 1964” and assuring anyone who ever had any doubts about his commitment to the project that in terms of the house, at least, he wants it to be exact. Check out the finalized plans for what is unmistakeably the Munsters home:

Click here to see the post on Instagram.

It remains to be seen if Zombie will try to put some sort of unique twist on The Munsters' concept or if he’ll simply focus on making it as true to the original as possible. As previously mentioned, past efforts at bringing the series into the 21stcentury have all either outright failed to materialize or failed to interest anyone. As it stands, Zombie is very much a fan of the original series, so the manner in which he handles the reboot will likely end up being quite authentic – especially if his dedication to making the family’s home “perfect” is any indication. In terms of casting, there hasn’t been much news, but at present, it’s rumored that Zombie’s wife, Sheri Moon Zombie, will be playing the role of Lillian Munster.

Of course, the upcoming reboot of The Munsters can’t be seriously discussed without pointing out Zombie’s rather messy track record as a filmmaker. With seven feature films to his credit so far, his work has consistently failed to gain either critical acclaim or box office success. In fact, the vast majority of Zombie’s films have been unequivocal bombs, leading some to question whether his passion for The Munsters will be enough to deliver a worthwhile adaptation. His love for the Halloween franchise has previously led him to put his own mark on the iconic slasher series, the likes of which failed to impress creator John Carpenter. With that sort of history blatantly clear, Munsters fans are left feeling uncertain about what this latest attempt at rebooting a short-lived but deeply loved concept will be.

What A Samsung Galaxy S22 With A 200MP Camera Could Mean For Buyers

What A Samsung Galaxy S22 With A 200MP Camera Could Mean For Buyers

Rumors are now circulating that the next flagship in the Samsung S line - the Galaxy S22 - will feature a whopping 200-megapixel camera. While the phone isn't expected to be announced until next year, leaks and potential upgrades are already starting to take shape. Here's a look at what a 200-megapixel camera on a new Samsung smartphone might mean for consumers.

This kind of step forward in photo capabilities wouldn't be new for Samsung. The Galaxy S21 Ultra already has a 108-megapixel sensor inside its four-camera array. Usually, the more megapixels in a camera, the more information can be stored for that photo. For instance, if an 18-megapixel camera takes a photo, only so much information can be stored, leading to lower quality when zooming in or cropping. For a phone like the Galaxy S21, 108 megapixels is plenty in order to capture and display photos in incredible detail. The phone is also capable of reaching a 100x zoom, utilizing dual telephoto lenses, for those who find it necessary to have in a daily driver, as well as image stabilization - a must when zooming in this much on a mobile device. Overall, the current-gen Galaxy S-series phone is absolutely packed to the teeth with image capturing technology, including the ability to shoot in 8K video.

Related: Is Pixel 5 Or Galaxy S21 Best For Capturing Video?

Samsung could make a couple of markedly large improvements with the Galaxy s22. According to Pulse News, the Galaxy S22 might feature a five-camera system on the rear of the device. At least one of which might be packing a 200-megapixel sensor, allowing for incredibly detailed shots. This kind of sensitivity isn't very common in the mobile world, especially on lower-tier devices. Due to this, it seems highly unlikely that the 200-megapixel sensor will find its way to the base Galaxy S22 model. The S22 may have a few tiers, much like the current version, including a Galaxy S22 Ultra model to house the highest-quality lenses and sensors.

According to the latest information, Olympus will be partnering up with Samsung in order to help develop the camera array on the Galaxy S22. It's unclear to what extent the Japanese camera manufacturer will be involved and whether or not the company will assist in the lens element design or sensor development. Either way, having a well-rooted camera company in on the development is likely to bode well for designing a high-spec camera system. This can pave the way to even higher resolution video recording, as well as extremely high definition photos, including zoom photos for consumers who love to stand a little farther back from the action.

Of course, 200 megapixels by itself won't allow users to capture outstanding photos. Depending on how the sensor is incorporated and how good the optics are will determine whether or not the Galaxy S22 will be able to capture truly impressive photos. In the S21, the wide-angle camera was fitted with the 108-megapixel sensor. So, if the rumor is correct, then it would seem likely that the 200-megapixel sensor would allow for more detailed wide-angled shots, enabling users to crop and constrain photos without sacrificing quality. On the other hand, the sensor could be fitted with a telephoto lens, allowing for a combination of optical and digital zoom, providing a clear and crisp image from very far away.

The next Samsung Unpacked is coming up in August, but based on the company's usual release schedule, that event is likely to be related to new foldables, wearables like the Galaxy Watch 4, and earbuds. More than likely, Samsung's Galaxy S22 will be announced in early 2022, with or without a 200-megapixel camera.

Zelda: Breath Of The Wild's Bomb Arrow Replaces the Master Sword

Zelda: Breath Of The Wild's Bomb Arrow Replaces the Master Sword

A savvy player of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has managed to replace the iconic Master Sword with a Bomb Arrow to create what they've dubbed the "legendary Master Bomb Arrow." The discovery is one of an ever-growing list of in-game tweaks and exploits players have discovered, along with glitches to increase heart containers, and tricks to take down Zelda: Breath of the Wild Lynels.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of the most successful in the series, winning fans over with its beautiful open-world and varied gameplay options. Players aren't just free to take on the end-game boss from the moment they begin their adventure but are also able to use various weapon combinations and tools to curate creative and strategic attacks on any enemies they encounter. It does not just combat options that are available for creative gamers, with one crafty player even finding a new way to travel in-game using the game's Master Cycle Zero and a raft to create a Breath of the Wild motorboat.

Related: Breath Of The Wild Player Discovers Adorable Sheep Detail

Breath of the Wild is also popular thanks to its exploits, which can be used to present new and interesting ways to play the game. Redditor and BOTW fan RinHara5aki recently discovered how the replace the game's Master Sword with a Bomb Arrow. Demonstrating the seemingly impossible feat in a video, the user showed their Link pulling the sparking weapon from the Master Sword seal in a twisted version of the iconic cutscene. Explaining just how the maneuver was achieved, the player noted the many exploits used in its creation. The trick requires a number of complex steps, and players not used to utilizing glitches within their gameplay may struggle to replicate it within their own games. Thankfully, BOTW fans can at least watch the feat being performed in full thanks to the user's video.

The Breath of the Wild Master Sword campfire trick mentioned by the player is one previously discovered by them and gives gamers the chance to immediately add the Master Sword to their inventory even if early into the game. Usually, retrieving the Master Sword involves acquiring enough Heart Containers to survive its removal, something which isn't typically possible until later in the story. Players looking to recreate RinHara5ake's "legendary Master Bomb Arrow" without the required 13 Heart Containers will need to instead use a bundle of wood and the recently-discovered exploit.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 will release in 2022, though Nintendo has yet to specify an exact date. The game was first announced in 2019, with a new trailer finally revealed earlier this summer. While details on the upcoming title are sparse, player theories are already rife, with many backing the unconfirmed theory of multiple Links in BOTW 2. Players still have some time to wait until the sequel's release, though there are plenty of Zelda: Breath of the Wild exploits to enjoy in the meantime.

How Powerful Each Loki Variant Really Is (& Who Is The Strongest)

How Powerful Each Loki Variant Really Is (& Who Is The Strongest)

WARNING: Spoilers for Loki episode 5, "Journey into Mystery."

Loki episode 5 introduces a series of Loki variants - but how powerful is each one, and who amongst them is the most powerful? While the Loki variants do all share some common traits, their skillsets do appear to be massively varied. Some of these differences are obvious - for example, Alligator Loki can only speak alligator and thus isn't as good as manipulating people - but even many very similar Loki variants have surprisingly different abilities.

On a base level, most versions of Loki thus far seem to share some of the same abilities, those being energy manipulation, telekinesis, and some form of illusion magic - although the degree to which these abilities are used and honed varies from Loki to Loki. Similarly, all seem to share the same enhanced durability and super-strength - even those who don't appear to have Frost Giant heritage.

Related: Loki Finally Fixed The God Of Mischief's Worst MCU Plot Hole

The nature of variants obviously means no two Lokis are the same - be that in their personality, their past, or their powers. This also means some are stronger than others, either as a result of practice or simple, good old-fashioned luck. Here's every Loki variant so far, and how powerful each of them truly is.

Being the "main" Loki for the MCU is both a blessing and a curse for Loki, as it means he has perhaps the most potential of all the Gods of Mischief seen so far, but also starts off perhaps the weakest so he can have more growth over the course of his time in the franchise. Loki's main weapons are his magical powers and his cunning - which work especially well together given he specializes largely in illusion magic, effectively disguising or hiding himself several times throughout the franchise. Loki's duplication casting abilities are notably impressive, as he has continually fooled Thor with them - and while the Asgardian isn't perhaps the smartest MCU figure, he does know his brother well enough that this is a considerable feat.

All this said, Loki's most impressive feat is also his worst deed, as his use of magic to convince Odin to leave Asgard so he could steal his place is no easy task, given Odin's own power levels. With Sylvie teaching Loki more about his range of magical abilities, it's clear Loki serves to enhance his powers further.

Lady Loki - known better in the series as Sylvie - has a skillset that appears closest to the "main" Loki', although it seems her magic may be slightly more potent, as she has cast magic in Time Variance Authority offices, which was prior to that supposedly impossible. Similarly, Sylvie also has a slightly wider range of abilities, as she is capable of using her mental manipulation powers to "enchant" others so as to access their memories and trap people in their own recollections - a skill that also makes her able to possess their bodies entirely, seemingly able to imbue whoever she resides within with her level of durability and super-strength. Though not the most powerful in terms of sheer firepower, Sylvie's abilities are the most useful for the type of antics Loki variants typically get up to, making her both a serious threat and potentially the best magic-user for Loki to learn from.

In fitting with his appearance reflecting the original Marvel comics Loki, Classic Loki currently appears to be the most powerful Loki variant in the MCU. While he's technically only been shown losing one fight - whereas Sylvie and Loki have managed their fair share of successful battles - that fight was against Alioth. Though some viewers think Classic Loki is not dead, even if he did die at the hands of Alioth, he truly proved himself powerful while doing so, as the scale of his illusion powers are so immense that he managed to create a lifelike entire city of Agard and sustain it for long enough to fully distract the beast. Similarly, Classic Loki's anecdote about creating a replica of himself so real that it fooled even Thanos is a clear sign that his powers are a step above the rest - although this may simply be due to him potentially having had more time to hone his magic. Classic Loki also has teleportation powers, that others don't appear to possess, and his telekinesis and energy manipulation appears slightly more potent, meaning his repertoire is also the most well-rounded.

Related: Lady Loki’s Vision: What Sylvie Saw When Alioth Touched Her

As the name President Loki suggests this variant was successful in some form of a political campaign, it's safe to say he's one of the more silver-tongued variants - an idea backed up by the fact that he has managed to recruit a Mad Max-like group of vagabonds to do his bidding by the point he's introduced in Loki episode 5. That said, the fact he gets a hand bitten off by Alligator Loki - who appears to have no special abilities or powers whatsoever - suggests he is not the most proficient fighter of the Loki variants. That said, Loki's ability to convince others to do his bidding is one of his most dangerous skills, so he's still not exactly a pushover.

Despite Kid Loki doing relatively little in the way of showing his powers, it's made readily apparent how strong he is - as Classic Loki, whose intense magical abilities are shown, treats him with a level of respect that suggests he's a worthy ally. Indeed, the fact that Kid Loki has killed his version of Thor does support this idea - although, with Kid Loki's conjuration powers and his flaming sword, it may have just been the element of surprise that aided him in this particular murder. It is worth note that Alioth's world supposedly also being Kid Loki's suggests he has been on the run from the creature the longest, which may also mean he has the greatest survivalist skillset.

Boastful Loki is an especially tricky figure in terms of figuring out powers, as his level of strength is entirely dependant on how truthful he is being with his various stories about defeating the likes of Captain America and Iron Man in order to obtain the Infinity Stones. If he is being truthful, then he's massively powerful, with abilities potentially outdoing even Classic Loki - but there's also evidence to suggest otherwise. Were Boastful Loki to have powers or wit to this degree, it seems unlikely he would have made the deal he did with President Loki, suggesting that in actual fact, his most impressive skill is his ability to boast about himself with questionably truthful claims. However, the fact he wields a Mjolnir-esque hammer does lend itself to the idea that he can hold his own in a fight, even if he didn't have the capabilities to outdo Classic and Kid Loki.

Tragically, there are some Loki variants whose powers will remain largely mysterious to viewers, as the versions of Loki that were already "pruned" by the TVA will likely never be shown onscreen again aside from the brief glimpse of them in Loki - which provided a short look at figures like Hulk Loki, Cycling Loki, and Viking Loki. While Hulk Loki definitely had enhanced strength beyond that of the usual Loki heritage, it seems likely that none of these variants were especially powerful, given that they all fell foul of the TVA and weren't strong enough to escape, or useful enough to be recruited.

King in Black Turned Iron Man Into A Symbiote Hunter

King in Black Turned Iron Man Into A Symbiote Hunter

SPOILER WARNING for Extreme Carnage Alpha #1!

Tony Stark likes to be prepared for any potential threat and his Iron Man suits are proof of this, as he continually makes improvements to them and designs certain suits tailored to specific scenarios, like his Hulkbuster armor and his stealth armor. This desire to be ready for anything the world throws at him is evident in recent comics, too. Stark’s focus has shifted thanks to Knull’s invasion and he’s now tracking all of Earth’s symbiote activity in order to avoid another King in Black-level disaster.

Knull, the God of the Symbiotes, went on a conquest across the cosmos in Marvel’s King in Black event, with his main assault taking place on Earth. Droves of heroes, including the Avengers, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four, worked together to thwart the deadly villain, but their initial defenses failed, allowing Knull to drown the world in darkness. With many of Earth’s heroes taken over by the King in Black, it seemed as though all hope was lost, but luckily, one last-ditch effort allowed the heroes to overcome the evil god and save the day. Even though Earth pulled through, Knull’s assault resulted in numerous casualties and left lasting effects on the survivors, which fans are now seeing in Tony Stark.

Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Manuel Garcia’s Extreme Carnage Alpha #1 takes place in the aftermath of King in Black and features the recently resurrected Flash Thompson, who is trying to live a normal life, hiding his Anti-Venom symbiote from the world. Unfortunately, the Carnage symbiote also returns to wreak havoc on humanity, making its presence known to Flash by unleashing a psychic attack upon him. As Flash comes face-to-face with Carnage within his own mind, his symbiote takes over his real body, and when he snaps back to reality, he finds that he’s standing over one of his co-workers, ready to attack. Shocked, Flash decides to leave the scene, but he soon runs into Iron Man, who’s looking to team up.

Upon arriving at his lab, Tony Stark explains that he’s been “scouring video footage from all over the world for potential symbiote activity” ever since Knull’s assault. Not only is this how he manages to find Flash, but by piecing together a trail of gory scenes from Somalia to New York, Stark realizes that Carnage is back as well. After running through this information and confirming his fears, Iron Man asks for help in handling the murderous symbiote, as Flash is much more familiar with this type of thing. The Anti-Venom-wielding veteran accepts, and the two begin their mission to stop Carnage’s crazed bloodlust.

Still reeling from the near-annihilation of the human race at the hands of Knull, many people have developed hostile feelings towards extraterrestrials, and while Tony Stark doesn’t share this hatred, it’s clear that he’s experiencing some paranoia. His compulsion to prevent a similar symbiote attack, while valiant, seems to be bordering an obsession and it could take over his life if he’s not careful. After all, he’s already got a lot to worry about as an Avenger, so facing the symbiotes on top of that could present a great deal of added stress.

Luckily, Iron Man is reaching out to Flash for support, which should help lift the burden from his shoulders. Hopefully, he won’t have to keep stalking symbiotes for too much longer. Perhaps defeating Carnage is just what he needs to let go of the trauma he’s been feeling since the King in Black’s invasion. Extreme Carnage Alpha #1 from Marvel Comics is available now in stores and online.

D&D: Which Subclasses Complement Each Other Best | Screen Rant

D&D: Which Subclasses Complement Each Other Best | Screen Rant

Creating a well-balanced party is critical to success in Dungeons & Dragons, but with 5th edition’s emphasis on subclasses, choosing archetypes within each class is as important as selecting a class and race. For some classes, the subclass makes a huge difference in how that character will function in combat. A party with complimentary subclasses can benefit from synergy between class features, with proper planning and teamwork, and avoid combinations that create redundancies. Most of these decisions should be made prior to the start of the campaign, during the character creation process. While many players begin a D&D game with an idea of the type of character they want to play, discussing the roles each party member expects to take on can allow the entire group to shine.

One way to aid the party in D&D is using a tank build for damage mitigation. There are several sub-classes which can help a character serve this function, and some can be aided by feats like Sentinel, which includes options similar to the Fighter “marking” mechanic from 4e D&D. For the traditional melee tank, the Sentinel feat is best paired with either a Totem Warrior sub-class Barbarian, or a Circle of the Moon Druid. The Totem Warrior can select the Bear Totem Spirit, which grants the Barbarian resistance to all damage types except Psychic. This, combined with the Barbarian’s generous d12 hit dice, allows them to safely engage in melee while also resisting most spell damage. It also makes healing them more efficient, using less spellcaster resources. The Moon Circle druid takes a different approach, with its focus on the Wildshape ability allowing it to quickly enter new animal or elemental forms, gaining a fresh pool of hit points with every shift, thereby also reducing the burden on party healers.

Related: Dungeons & Dragons' Newest Rule Changes, Explained

There are other ways to reduce enemy damage beyond the melee approach in D&D. The Oath of the Ancients sub-class for Paladins grants an aura that provides resistance to all spell damage for them and nearby allies. This is a case where party planning and synergy comes into effect, as a group with an Oath of the Ancients Paladin offers less incentive for a Totem Warrior Barbarian build. Multiple sources of resistance do not stack, so a Barbarian partying with an Ancients Paladin might prefer to focus on offense with the Path of the Berserker.

A D&D Battle Wizard specialized in the School of Abjuration may seem an unlikely party defender, but it is one of the most effective. The subclass offers an Arcane Ward which can absorb damage taken by the Wizard, and later a Projected Ward which allows the ward to absorb attacks against nearby allies. At higher level, Improved Abjuration allows the Wizard to add their proficiency bonus to ability checks made as part of casting spells like Counterspell and Dispel Magic. This makes the Abjuration Wizard among best suited characters in the game to shutting down enemy spellcasters, along with melee builds using the Mage Slayer feat, as the Wizard can reserve their reaction to Counterspell an enemy’s spell. With Improved Abjuration, they have better odds of countering enemy spells than any other class.

Offense is also vital in D&D, as putting enemies down quickly means less attacks coming at the party. With the D&D Fighter’s Extra Attack feature scaling beyond any other martial class, with up to four attacks rather than two, the Fighter of 5e D&D is more suited to a focus on damage than defense. A fighter built around ranged damage, with feats like Crossbow Expert and Sharpshooter, makes a better archer than a Ranger, and the Battle Master sub-class aids this perfectly. The Fighter’s Archery Combat Style adds +2 to hit with ranged weapons, which can help offset the -5 to hit/+10 to damage feature of the Sharpshooter feat. Adding in the Battlemaster’s Precision Attack Maneuver, the Fighter can expend Superiority Dice to turn near-misses into hits, adding to their damage output. Spellcasters can aid the Fighter in their focus on damage with spells like Haste at lower level, up to the extremely powerful level 9 Spell Foresight, which grants advantage to all attacks.

Related: Grand Theft Auto D&D Campaign Ideas & Mechanics

There are many other subclass choices which groups should discuss when planning their party. A Draconic Bloodline subclass Sorcerer can combine the Elemental Affinity feature with the Elemental Adept feat to focus on mastering a single element for optimum area-of-effect damage. A Cleric could take the Life Domain to focus on the most efficient healing possible, or they could select the more offense-oriented Light Domain to gain access to damage spells like Fireball and serve as both a healer and a well-armored blaster.

Skills are a crucial component of D&D, and the Rogue and Bard classes both receive Expertise which allows them to excel at select skills by doubling their proficiency. Groups can coordinate to ensure their skill-based characters cover a variety of specializations, as one might have a higher Wisdom score and focus on Expertise in detection skills like Insight and Perception, while another might become the “face” of the party with Expertise in Charisma skills such as Deception and Persuasion. A Mastermind sub-class rogue can further aid the party in battle by using the Help action as a bonus action against targets within 30 feet. They can coordinate this with party spellcasters using attack-roll based spells like Ray of Enfeeblement to help ensure these spells hit their target. Alternatively, a College of Lore Bard can work well with an Assassin rogue, as the Assassinate ability’s automatic critical hit feature can double the damage dice gained from a Valor Bard’s Combat Inspiration.

Dungeons & Dragons is a cooperative game, and sub-classes let each player portray a character that showcases a unique specialization, while working with other party members to help the entire group to excel. As some sub-class features do create redundancy, like the Oath of the Ancients Paladin and the Bear Totem Barbarian builds, discussing both class and subclass choice can ensure that parties have abilities that compliment one another, avoiding overlap and ensuring optimal party effectiveness. Subclasses are a way for characters develop uniqueness, standing out from their class with their added specialization, but they can also provide new ways for the group to work together.

Animal Crossing: How Long Isabelle Has Been Working For Tom Nook

Animal Crossing: How Long Isabelle Has Been Working For Tom Nook

For around the last decade, the de facto mascot for Animal Crossing has been Isabelle. Isabelle runs the official Animal Crossing Twitter, she's in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and she's in Mario Kart 8. With the Isabelle's ubiquity, it's easy to forget that Tom Nook ever shouldered an Animal Crossing game without her. In fact, it wasn't until very recently that Isabelle's business relationship with Tom Nook began.

Isabelle's first appearance was in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, which was released November 2012 in Japan and summer 2013 in the U.S. and Europe. New Leaf is New Horizons' mainline predecessor, and in it, Isabelle doesn't work for Tom Nook. On the contrary, she's a civil servant and works as the mayor's secretary. She even replaces Tom Nook's role in gameplay, giving the player tutorials Tom Nook had previously provided in the first three games.

Related: Animal Crossing 2021 Updates: What Could Come Next?

Prior to New Leaf, Tom Nook was the manager of the town shop, although the player is also indebted to him for the mortgage on their home. Tom Nook's role begins to shift in New Leaf, when he becomes a full-blown real estate agent for his own company, Nook's Homes. By New Horizons, Tom Nook has established a large corporation called Nook Inc., which includes a travel agency that has purchased entire islands. Surprisingly, Isabelle's and Tom Nook's paths begin crossing between these two mainline games, in the spin-off Happy Home Designer.

In Happy Home Designer, the player is given a job at Nook's Homes, the real estate firm Tom Nook established by Animal Crossing: New Leaf. The player is tasked with helping villagers customize their homes, although Isabelle will sometimes come by ask the player to help her develop major facilities in the town's Main Street, such as the School, Hospital, Café, and stores. At this point, Isabelle is still a civil servant, as she's the town's Head of Development. However, this is the first instance in which she directly collaborates with a company owned by Tom Nook.

Where the mobile game Pocket Camp stands in this timeline is unclear. Isabelle helps the player run a campsite, which suggests she's still a civil servant. Tom Nook merely makes cameo appearances in the game and seemingly has nothing to do with the campsite, presumably because he's off building a corporation. This means Isabelle works for Tom Nook in New Horizons for the first time. In New Horizons, Isabelle is presumably an employee of Nook Inc., as Tom Nook initially introduces her as a new addition to the "island staff." However, she is still in a field akin to her former civil service duties, as the representative for Resident Services. In his introduction, Tom Nook even acknowledges that Isabelle "has previously done resident support work."

How long it took Tom Nook to establish Nook Inc. between the events of New Leaf and New Horizons is one of the great mysteries of Animal Crossing. However, it's clear that Isabelle has only recently become Tom Nook's employee, and that Isabelle's shift in employment was spurred by the success of Tom Nook's Island Getaway Package in New Horizons. After all, New Horizons players know it's hard to say "no" to residing on a remote island getaway.

Cyberpunk 2077 Water Freezes When You're On a Phone Call

Cyberpunk 2077 Water Freezes When You're On a Phone Call

A potential new glitch in Cyberpunk 2077 has been discovered. It appears as if water freezes its animation cycle when the player is engaged in a phone call. No other background animations, like neon signs, appear to freeze during a call. It's also possible that this is not a bug at all. Rather, it could be a measure to ensure a smooth framerate.

Since releasing in late 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 has gained a reputation for being an unfinished, unpolished game. It was plagued with performance issues, bugs, and other problems. It eventually was pulled from digital storefronts, with developer CD Projekt Red issuing refunds to disgruntled players. Cyberpunk 2077 even experienced malware attacks through the game's modding tools. While patches and fixes have addressed many issues, a sizable number of glitches still remain.

Related: Cyberpunk 2077 Timeline: What Went Wrong?

Reddit user ZARAtrusta_N-1 may have found a new glitch. A video they shared shows how Cyberpunk 2077's water seemingly freezes when the player character is on the phone. And, by "freeze" that does not mean the water turns to ice, although at least one commenter was surprised this was not the case. Rather, the water goes completely still when it previously ebbed and flowed. The water resumes its normal animation when the phone call ends. In the comments, ZARAtrusta went into more detail on why they believe it to be a glitch. They claim to have run around a city while using the phone and didn't notice any other freezes. Neon ads continued to run and trees would sway in the win. There is no video to back up this claim, however. At least one other commenter also claimed to have experienced the glitch prior to a recent patch.

Another commenter proposed that it was a measure to keep frame rates smooth. It's not too outlandish of a theory. Many games implement such measures on minor animations in order to keep a steady FPS. With the plethora of performance fixes, this might indeed be the case. Until there is concrete evidence, though, it remains nothing more than conjecture.

As far as glitches - especially ones for Cyberpunk 2077 - go, this one is fairly minor. It has no negative impact on gameplay. It's purely visual and would just be strange to see during normal gameplay. Considering that water in Cyberpunk 2077 is its own entity without physics, as pointed out in the video's comments, the FPS theory holds more water (pardon the pun). Intended or not, it's a reminder that Cyberpunk 2077 is not quite the epic, groundbreaking title that the developer dreamed it would be. Well, it is groundbreaking in some ways. Not even nature can freeze water that quickly.

Foundation Show Updates: Release Date, Story & Cast | Screen Rant

Apple TV+ is bring the seminal sci-fi series Foundation to screens as a 10-episode series. Part of Apple TV+'s ambitious streaming slate, the epic science-fiction drama series is based on the Isaac Asimov novel of the same name and its prequels and sequels, telling an expansive story of the decline and fall of a future civilization and the creation of an organization that can influence that fall.

The production team on Foundation has been quiet about what exactly will be included in the 10 episodes of the first season, and trailers only hint at concepts, characters, and events drawn from the novels. What sure is that it will be ambitious in both scope and execution, with many production companies keen to bring large-scale sci-fi and fantasy productions to eager viewers – think Amazon's billion-dollar The Lord of the Rings series, or Denis Villeneuve's Dune.

Related: Apple TV+ Is Most Divisive Streaming Service

The Foundation series on Apple TV+ will arrive on the streaming platform soon, hopefully stunning viewers with a riveting story, exciting visuals, and compelling acting. Here are all the details about Apple TV+'s upcoming Foundation TV series, one of the most anticipated new TV shows in 2021.

The Foundation Apple TV+ show will be based on the world created and explored in Isaac Asimov's seven classic sci-fi novels – the original and namesake, plus two sequels and two prequels. The story in those volumes is expansive, stretching over thousands of years, so it's unlikely that the Apple TV+ show will cover them all in a single season. The official synopsis for the show reads:

"Based on the award-winning novels by Isaac Asimov, Foundation chronicles a band of exiles on their monumental journey to save humanity and rebuild civilization amid the fall of the Galactic Empire."

The novels are hard sci-fi, which takes serious science into account unlike franchises like Star Wars, and are literary in their execution – there's not so much action as conversation and philosophy. Given the above synopsis, it's likely the series will be inspired by the original novels and forge a slightly different kind of story.

Foundation on Apple TV+ will feature a large cast, though many roles are yet to be announced. Leading the cast are Lee Pace (Guardians of the Galaxy, The Hobbit series) and Jared Harris (Chernobyl). Pace plays Brother Day, Emperor of the Galaxy, and Harris plays Hari Seldon, who in the books is a professor of mathematics who develops psychohistory, a method for predicting the future. Lou Llobell (Voyagers) plays Gaal Dornick, who is a young mathematics professor and Seldon's biographer in the book series (gender-swapped to be female in the TV series), and Alfred Enoch (the Harry Potter movies) is Raych Seldon, the son of Hari Seldon. The so-far-announced cast is rounded with Leah Harvey as Salvor Hardin, mayor of Terminus City, Laura Birn as Eto Demerzel, Cassian Bilton as Brother Dawn, and Terrence Mann as Brother Dusk. While many of these characters are based on those of the book, it's likely the series will make changes to their roles and stories.

The Foundation series is being created by Skydance Studios, who previously created Altered Carbon for Netflix, and produced and written by David S. Goyer (screenwriter for the Blade, and Dark Knight trilogies). In interviews, Goyer has said that this opportunity with Apple works for the sci-fi epic because, "We can tell the story hopefully over the course of 80 episodes, 80 hours, as opposed to trying to condense it all into two or three hours for a single film." Isaac Asimov's daughter, Robyn Asimov, is also serving as an executive producer on the Foundation Apple TV+ series.

In June of 2021, Apple announced the Apple TV+ Foundation series will premiere on September 24, 2021. Three episodes will land on the streaming service on that date, allowing viewers to truly immerse themselves in Asimov's science fiction world before the series reverts to an installment schedule for the remaining seven episodes, which will release weekly.

Apple has dropped two teaser trailers for Foundation, giving sci-fi viewers a glimpse at the characters, worlds, and lush production design they can expect in the first season of the show. With the first installment of episodes to drop soon on Apple TV+, viewers won't have long to wait before they can get their first immersion into the world of Isaac Asimov's Foundation on screen.

Monsters At Work Is A Love Story Says Creator | Screen Rant

Monsters At Work Is A Love Story Says Creator | Screen Rant

The creator of Disney Plus’s new Monsters at Work series says that the workplace comedy goes beyond scares and laughs as an emerging love story. Monsters at Work debuted on the streaming service on July 7 as a direct sequel to the main events of Monsters Inc. before the film’s epilogue. The series was first announced back in 2017, but production slowed last year as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. However, the show's writers were able to draw some inspiration from the real life transitioning workforce for the series.

Though the show does feature the return of Billy Crystal and John Goodman in the iconic roles of Mike Wazowski and Sulley, Monsters at Work centers around the character of Tylor Tuskmon, played by Ben Feldman. Tylor, who is a recent graduate of Monsters University, arrives at Monsters Inc. directly after the events of the 2001 film in which Sulley, as CEO, revamps the company from scaring to joking. Unprepared for the company’s new policy, Tylor is then transferred to maintenance, a position he dislikes immediately.

Related: How Monsters At Work's Animation Compares To Monsters, Inc.

Speaking in an interview with ComicBook.com, Monsters at Work creator and executive producer, Bobs Gannaway, revealed that Tylor’s initial disinterest in the maintenance team at Monsters Inc. is exactly what separates Monsters at Work from the classic workplace comedy and turns it into a love story. Of course, it isn’t a classic love story either. Instead, it’s a story about learning to love despite expectations and circumstances. Read what Gannaway had to say about the development of Monsters at Work's love theme below:

At some point when we were writing the show, in the middle of production, someone in the room, one of the writers says, 'It's a love story.' It is. Tylor Tuskmon shows up with his goal to get on that former scare floor. He wants nothing to do with this new group. This is like, 'I've been thrown in the basement with this wacky group and I'm in love with this other place,' but over the course of the series, he starts to fall in love with this group. At the end, ultimately he's got to make a choice. We knew we were working towards that choice, but that's kind of like a love story in a certain sense.

Besides the series’ shift into a focus on character development, Monsters at Work also noticeably employs more female characters than the original film did. Mindy Kaling stars as Val Little, who is a former classmate and fellow mechanic with Tylor, and even Mike Wazowski’s one-eyed, snake-haired girlfriend, Celia Mae (Jennifer Tilly), is featured and has now been promoted from receptionist to Laugh Floor supervisor.

Monsters at Work is not only familiar because of the film’s legacy, but because it emulates the kind of struggle many in the workforce are going through around the world at the moment. The new series shows how the power of adaptation can create new opportunities despite perceived problems. Viewers who are heading back to work in different environments than they left could perhaps relate or learn a thing or two from watching Tylor Tuskmon do it too.
